Expensive but worth every op enny!
Pros:

De vriendelijkheid van het personeel nog voor aankomst in het hotel was uiterst aangenaam. Ook doorheen ons verblijf was iedereen vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De bedden en hoofdkussens waren zalig, ik heb zelden zo goed geslapen op hotel. Het summum zijn de warmwaterbaden/jacuzzi's en het restaurant. Wij aten er 1 avond en ook dat is van ongekend niveau. Zou er zeker nog een keertje willen terugkeren

Cons:

De garden bar vonden wij het minste. De cocktails waren heerlijk maar het eten was daar niet zo lekker. De chicken sandwich waarvan de kip uit een supermarktverpakking leek te komen.

Wenn Sie was besonderes suchen....
Pros:

Das außergewöhnliche Ambiente, der botanische Garten und der Thermalpool. Die sehr aufmerksam en freundlichen Angestellten.

Cons:

Das der Chefkoch ausgewechselt wurde. Der Bezug zur lokalen Küche ging leider verloren. Statt dessen austauschbare internationale Küche, die auch woanders serviert wird.

A botanikus kertek és a gyógyfürdők szerelmesei imádni fogják a helyet....

A hotel egyedülálló, abból a szempontból, hogy egy botanikus kertben van és korlátlan és exkluzív hozzáférést biztosít a hatalmas forró vizű medencéhez és a természetes jakuzzikhoz a kertben. Ez az árban és népszerűségben is megmutatkozik. Mivel a kinézett időpontban nem volt hely, csúsztatni kellett a programunkat. Mégis az ott töltött napokra azt mondom, hogy megérte. Este 11-kor ülni a medencében és a csillagokat bámulni majd másnap nyitás előtt végigjárni a botanikus kertet: egyedülálló élmény....

Cons:

2004-ben jártam először Furnasban és emlékeim szerint már akkor is állt a hotel. Lassan ráférne egy felújítás és modernizálás...Ezen kívül a parkoló kissé alulméretezett és bár az utca túloldalán is van pakolási lehetőség, ha későn érsz oda, akkor nem biztos, hogy lesz helyed....

Pros:

Établissement de très haute qualité. Personnel agréable et réactif. A proximité d'un parc boisé exceptionnel avec accès illimité au lac d'eau thermale et jacuzzi. Excellent petit-déjeuner et restaurant gastronomique extraordinaire.

Cons:

Very outdated! Rooms are old, really old. Gym is a joke - no AC, super hot, dirty mats, no towels. Service at the restaurant is extremely slow, slow to a point you don’t want your food anymore.

How do you describe beauty in words?
Pros:

What didn't we like? We loved it all. Everything you've heard or read about is true. Please go and experience it for yourself.

Walking location to all of Furnas. Walking to Caldera's, nearby parks, nearby restaurants, stores, etc etc. Great location to use as a base to explore the region in a car.

The gardens here are magnificent, but that word is somehow less descriptive than what they actually are. We used the pool and hot spring tubs after hours and after the crowds had left.

Cons:

The only small complaint I can think of was something the resort has no control over, and that would be entering into the parking lot. The gate where you get buzzed in is very close to the road.

Like all cities we went to in the Azores, older cities have cars everywhere and no where to put them so having a place to park your car next to the hotel is worth it.
