Too little for the price
Pros:

Several nice amenities. Overall friendly and responsive staff

Cons:

No garden. Very poor view from the room.
Breakfast space was full quickly and then you have to wait, which could be inconvenient sometimes.
Relatively small rooms; somewhat ‘high tech’ p.e. managing the lights in the room.
No iron in the room.

Pros:

A room was higher floor which I requested and over looking a beautiful Japanese garden. The room has a lot of amenities and shower room was a huge and a step-up style. We love everything about the room. Only we needed was a garment spray for using to keep dirty clothing smell fresh. The location was very nice which is surrounded by temples. The most beautiful thing at hotel is located a lobby which was wooden decorations all over the ceilings. Beef curry at restaurant was delicious. We had a dinner 2 nights in row. We did not have time to eat breakfast. Most surprising thing was they gave us a private mini ban to leave the hotel. The driver was wonderful. He was very professional and we can tell he had been working for a long time.

Cons:

I heard that this hotel will be closing next year. It is very disappointing.

Pros:

Lo mejor del hotel fue el bar. Muy bonito, bien surtido y buena atencion. No comi en el restaurante por lo que no puedo opinar

Cons:

Yo hice la reserva a traves de Booking. Me dieron una habitación que quedaba muy lejos de los ascensores, a diferencia de las que les dieron a las otras parejas con las que viaje. Ellos reservaron a traves de agencias de viaje.
Digo esto por que no es la primera vez que me pasa al reservar con Booking, parece que asignan las habitaciones mal ubicadas. Pedi cambio y me dijeron que no había nada.

Hôtel de bonne qualité mais excentré
Pros:

L'hôtel est un peu excentré mais dans un quartier très calme et agréable, juste à côté du temple Sanjusangen-Do qui, au passage, vaut la peine d'une visite. Un service de navette de l'hôtel serait apprécié car les bus à Kyoto, même sans bagages encombrants, sont bondés (le métro est symbolique), et l'hôtel est quand même à 20-30 minutes à pieds de la gare de Kyoto. Soyez courageux et entraînés s'il fait chaud en mai, comme cela était le cas cette année.
Chambres propres et calmes, mais petites par rapport à la majesté de l'entrée de l'hôtel. La salle de bain n'est pas spacieuse.
Les massages sont excellents. Très bon restaurant italien, pour changer à l'occasion de la cuisine japonaise.

Moldy poor condition room, in an otherwise fine hotel
Pros:

The hotel has a great location for the main tourist sites. Staff was fine. Breakfast was good. Price was relatively reasonable compared to other international hotels in the same vicinity. But the rooms are terrible and in poor condition. Ours smelled very badly of mold. One bad mold smell in the main room, and a different smell in the toilet room and shower. The wallpaper was peeling. And the rooms are generally small and shabby, as compared to every other hotel I have stayed in in Japan (which generally have a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail) . Would not stay there again unless they did a major renovation.

wonderful place for vacation

The place is wonderful, and the rooms are exceptional and so convenient.
Service was very helpful from reception to departure. Rooms are very convenient, beds and the toilet and bathroom are very exceptional

Great hotel in Kyoto
Pros:

Exceptional hotel. The rooms were spacious and well equipped with what you need. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They have set a new bar for hotel service for me.

The location is a bit outside of the main city but only a 12 minute walk.

Un très bon choix fonctionnel et luxueux à Kyoto
Pros:

Hôtel très bien situé avec personnel à l’écoute des moindres demandes. Petit-déjeuner copieux et varié aussi bien continental que japonais. Grande chambre spacieuse et agréable. Grande salle de gym agréable pour un entraînement

Cons:

Un seul bémol, notre chambre était proche de la réception et donnait sur le jardin zen visible depuis le petit déjeuner donc nous avons du laisser les volets fermés quand nous étions dans la chambre pour plus d’intimité…

A lovely Kyoto spot
Pros:

Nice, quiet location but that means not too close to things. However, several amazing temples and shrines very close, and bus stops are close, as well. Room was nice, overlooking zen garden. Service was VERY nice, especially Leo, who had great information. Concierge service was also very good. Lovely "maiko" performance several days a week around dinner hour. One low point was the Trattoria Sette (their Italian restaurant). Very bland food and spotty service. Probably should have had the pizza. Bar was very appealing and friendly.

Perfekter Aufenthalt in einem super gelegenen Hotel mit allen Annehmlichkeiten.
Pros:

Das Hotel verfügt über eine hervorragende Lage und einen hervorragenden Concierge-Service. Alle Empfehlungen des Concierge Teams waren Spitzenklasse - das gilt für die aussergewöhnlichen Restaurants ebenso wie für die Emfpehllungen für Besichtigungen, zum Einkaufen bis hin zum Friseurladen. Der Concierge-Service hebt sich im Vergleich mit anderen Hotel deutlich ab und ist ganz einfach Spitzenklasse.
