If you have a car and want included parking. If you want 5 minute walkability to the town. If you want a mini fridge and a lobby available microwave.. and a water refill station in the lobby, and aren't fancy, and want to save money.. this is the best spot. The bed, sheets, pillows are comfortable, clean rooms. For those that might give low marks.. this is a 2 star hotel, not a 4 star, if you're upset you don't have super top quality stuff, pay an extra $250 a night.
Water pressure in the shower is too low. But again, this is 2 star, so that's ok.

Little dated
The Lodge is well located a couple of minutes on foot to the centre of town. Lots of eateries are in close proximity. The supermarket and bus terminals are minutes away. The rooms were clean and staff were helpful.
There was heavy building work in the area. It was difficult getting around and parking the rental car. This was not all the fault of the motel (there was also building work in the associated building next door) but impacted the comfort, and getting around. It was also a bit noisy, which was unfortunate, as I was given a room facing the work.

The hotel is close to the main avenue, restaurants, shops, and public buses for visiting attractions. The room was clean and had some utilities for refrigerating food or even eating in the room. Also, the staff was very friendly.
In particular, our view was not the best (to the parking lot), and the natural light was not good. So, the room was too dark. Also, the hotel doesn't have AC, so on hot days it's not a comfortable stay. Additionally, the Wi-Fi and TV don't work well; both are intermittent.
