Little oasis not quite up to standard but good only needs a few little tweaks to be really good
Pros:

Lovely suite overlooking valley, nice pool.

Cons:

Staff initially not very friendly but improved , could be more engaging, a bit scrappy some areas of the pool. Breakfast good but have had better in similar rate hotel. No complimentary water in room.

Pros:

Modern, clean, everything you need in the room including a stream iron, nice inside and outside pools and spa.

Cons:

Ridiculous procedure due the spa and pools. The hotel provides towels (they don't allow you to use a towel from your room). You must go to the main reception for the towel and leave 20 euro cash deposit per towel, then take the wet towel back later to get the deposit back. When I told the lady on reception that this is a strange policy she replied 'well 50 towels were stolen last year'. Not a nice way to treat guests, and not a practical arrangement.

Just for sleep it is okay, but not as a weekend destination
Pros:

The bed was good. View from the room was nice. Breakfast was quite okay. We took room service day if the dish and it was delicious

Cons:

Very bad smell of water in spa, especially in jacuzzi. We chose this hotel only due to spa and didn’t use it as it felt dirty. Also what was strange: 40 euro deposit for towels. I okay to pay, but it is just strange
Also the room had smoke smell:-(

Good road stop great views.

Great location for a drive holiday. Restaurant was really good for breakfast and dinner. Friendly welcoming staff.

Nice hotel on a hill
Pros:

Modern hotel, nicely furnished, balcony with view, good breakfast, free parking.
The location is on a hill, which is very convenient for visiting the castle and Cargaleiro Museum (a must see!), but the city center is accessible on foot by stairs or a steep road.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the storm caused a power outage, which caused us a bit of stress as our phones were dead. We know it was a force majeure, but our experience was not very good. We would also like to mention that we had some problems with getting toast and drink at the hotel bar, as the gentleman serving there was not very helpful.
