The view.
The peas.
Our room and bathroom were tiny and tucked away in a poky corner at the end of a long corridor. The bathroom was so small you could not shut the door if you were sitting on the loo. Rather like ladies public toilets.
The food was poor. A burnt burger, re-heated tough, dried fish and uncooked chips. No ice cream as stated on menu.
Empty tins at breakfast - no bacon, hash browns, tomatoes and other empty tins therefore no choices and nobody replenishing. A few sausages were sitting in a pool of grease which nobody was taking.
No provision was made for eating in the bar, (we had our small dog with us) we felt as if we were nuisances.
When I said (very politely) we wanted to pay and leave without staying our second night the receptionist just reiterated what was written in the hotel blurb and gave no apology that it wasn't up to our expectations. We did not want to argue and didn't, despite the receptionist being quite defensive.
Breakfast was good, Bar staff attentive , friendly
The room i stayed in had been cleaned however there were still stains / hairs. Poor attention to detail.

Small bed and very old and tired bathroom. Cracked sink and bathroom in immediate need of maintenance.
Location, food, staff were lovely.
Having stayed here before and what we paid for it, the room was in very poor repair, tiny, bathroom outdated with mould around shower tray and bathroom door broken. Very noisy too. Very overpriced for the room we had.

top floor was nice and quiet - didnt hear the band playing down in the bar.
Receptionist was a bit "short" when booking in. Possibly to do with others asking her when their rooms would be ready (apparently long delays on the downstairs rooms)
Both single beds in the twin room were way too soft - felt like you were being sucked into the bed instead of laying on it.

only 5 choices for main meal - two of which were fish.
very disappointed on that side as was looking forward to something more traditional like gammon or hunters chicken.
Didnt bother with the breakfast option at £15.00 (most other places i stop in its either included or an extra £9.99) so had a porridge pot in my room that i took in.

In room 1 there was no shelving to put your toiletries on I had to put the toilet seat lid down to put my toiletry bag down
Our overall experience was good. Staff were exceptional and the breakfast, excellent. As with the public areas of the hotel, our room, though comfortable, was somewhat tied and the bathroom, dated and cold.

Ok stosunek jakości do ceny. Hotel nieco przestarzały, ale za to niedrogi jak na Szkocję. Urocza okolica nad jeziorem, stary kościół z cmentarzem niedaleko. Przyjemne lobby, gdzie można posiedzieć. Duży, darmowy parking. Wifi działa dobrze. Jest winda. Na jedną noc spoko.
Trochę zaniedbane pokoje, ale bez tragedii. W łazience nie działała spłuczka.
