Pleasant hotel but not 4 Star
Pros:

Enjoyed a 10 night stay at the Leonardo in early July. We stayed in the apartment suites which are set back and over the road from the main hotel.
We had 3 apartments, 2 for 2 couples and then our 2 teenagers stayed in the third. Decent size apartment for 2 people. Plenty of storage and all decent basics to prep small snacks/meals in the room.
The cleaning service was hit and miss, they attended every morning but one cleaner in particularly appeared to wait until you went back to your room and would then knock on door to clean (knowing you were in so you'd say no). We then put please clean room sign on door and it wouldn't be cleaned but she would then appear again as soon as we walked into room. If it happened you wouldn't think anything of it, but it genuinely happened about 6/7 times. We went 4 days without the room being cleaned at one point, to the extent when she knocked on the door as we'd just got in, I said no come in you can clean much to her shock (think it was a ruse to get away with not cleaning).
The apartment block had its own pool which was very pleasant and had a lifeguard on duty and a snack bar. It opened quite late for a holiday pool (10am). As we got to the end of our holiday it was starting to get busier. The main pool on the front of the hotel overlooking the bay you had no chance of getting a sun lounger after 9am (even though the pool not open). We preferred the quieter pool in any case.
We were B&B so attended the breakfast room on a morning. Pleasant standard breakfast buffet type food. We were very surprised a hotel with such gorgeous views over the bay had a breakfast room at the back with no windows with views - basically like a school canteen. Really strange. There is a stunning bar / eating area with great views and an outside terrace overlooking the bay - not sure why you'd not put the restaurant there.
The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The grounds and reception area were very clean and well maintained.
The hotel and apartments are in a great location, just a short walk to various bars, restaurants and the beach. It is up a short incline so maybe not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.
Generally a great base in a good location but I wouldn't say this was a 4* star more like a 3*.

Truly one of the best luxury family resorts
Pros:

We’ve been to Mallorca many times but have never left this satisfied and content. From the food, atmosphere and the gorgeous beaches (with Palmanova beach only a 3 minute walk away) to the cleanliness and service this resort provides.

The staff are incredibly welcoming and helped us have a wonderful time from the very beginning of our holiday to the end. An honorable mention to Santiago and Petra who have gone above and beyond, and are genuinely one of the kindest people we’ve met. It is clear they enjoy what they do and are very good at it too!

The entertainment team, while relatively small, managed to create an exciting atmosphere for both the children and adults with wonderful shows and games that vary each night, as well as daily water sports and experiences throughout the day. We particularly enjoyed the paddle boarding and kayaking we booked on the last day (which they kindly accommodated for us despite it being last minute and the high demand).

Palmanova beach is very clean and water is the clearest we’ve seen in Mallorca. There’s also loads of activities like jet ski, go-karting, water parks, scuba diving etc. which are very close by and you can book while you’re there.

If you’re looking for a luxury hotel on the beachfront with great service in Palmanova, you’re in excellent hands here.

We cannot thank you enough and can’t wait to visit again! Muchas gracias Team Leonardo Royal !

Ok but not a 4 star hotel
Pros:

Just returned from a 4 night all inclusive stay with a friend. We had a ‘comfort’ room booked, stayed on the first floor of the main building and the view was non-existent other than the huge and loud air conditioning units. We asked to be moved but was fully booked for ‘our type of room’ so we stayed put. The room itself was small for a 4 star hotel, but clean and we ultimately spent very little time in the room anyway.

Food - breakfast was as expected, lunch and dinner were basic and essentially the same each day, even for only a 4 night stay. Pool bar snacks were ok. The dining room was nicely air conditioned and clean, staff very attentive. They would however see end of service much like a race to clear the decks and within a blink all food would be gone…10mins later the lights are turned off so be warned if you prefer a later lunch and/or dinner.

Drinks - could be quite a queue at the pool bar for most of the day, especially as it was a mix of all inc, half board and B&B guests so the time for paying guests took forever if paying in cash. The bar staff were very friendly and polite, but could do with more than 1 or 2 of them serving. For the volume of rum & cokes I had, never once felt tipsy, so read into that as you will…

Location - great for a beachfront stroll where the nicer bars & restaurants are. Walk up the hill and it’s much more lads & girls trying to coax you into their bars.

Pool area - we absolutely weren’t going to be joining the queue to get a lounger at 8am when they take down the pool barriers, but getting a lounger at 8:30 was no problem. By 10am you’d almost certainly not get one so head down to put down your towels before breakfast.

Evening entertainment was pretty naff, sorry to the animation team who put effort in. Perhaps more of an issue for the brightly school-styled lit bar & stage area and tiny stage. We went out for a walk & to get a drink in a nice bar most evenings instead.

Overall a nice few days away, but I wouldn’t have wanted to do 7 nights. It’s unfortunately not a 4 star hotel, more a 3-3.5 but still a pleasant stay.

Views are the best part of the hotel
Pros:

Amazing views,
Pool area is lovely overlooking the sea there’s two sets of steps that you can enter the sea for a dip aswell, the hotel offer kayaking and paddle boarding at certain times of day which is lovely. The pool area could do with refurbishing. Lots of broken boards around.
Children can’t use floats in the pool, get told off for jumping in etc so quite strict with children.
We stayed in a family suite in the main hotel, lovely big balcony. Room is roomy although the aesthetic of the rooms are lovely they are also in dire need of refurbishment lots of damaged areas only small things but they will eventually build up to a bigger issue. Damaged wardrobes, marks on the curtains etc.
the cleaners were lovely always willing to help they do clean the rooms to a high standard and the majority are very polite although we did get a eye roll from one when we were in the lift with a pushchair so she couldn’t get in with the cleaning trolley. Maybe need a staff lift and a customer lift. Bar staff were lovely.
We stayed bed and breakfast and it was ok, a lot of options but not the best tasting. It was much nicer when the hotel was Hawaii. I think the standards have gone down hill since being taken over as Leonardo royal it’s more of a 3 star hotel in my opinion, with refurbishment and better quality of food it could be 4-5 star.

Готель має чудове розташування та красиві краєвиди, але слабка кухня, дивні обмеження в системі All Inclusive та нестабі
Pros:

Cons:

Pros:

Pleasant clean & modern hotel close to the action and the sea - would return
Pros:

Great location, right next to Calvia beach and also close to Palma Nova beach - short walk. 20 mins from airport in taxi €50-€60. Plenty shops around for convenience and essentials. Relaxed asmothphere, mix of clientele from around the world, Ireland, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark - all decent people - no trouble makers, drunks or rampaging adolescents . Pool area has two access points to the sea for swimming - which was lovely. We had a family suite which was a double room with queen sized bed , bathroom with shower and kitchenette with sofa bed and camp bed - all very comfortable, comfy beds - no complaints about sleep quality (apart from last night when we were trying to sleep and there was something going on on a closely balcony that was annoying) - we had a balcony with two chairs and table and space to dry clothes etc. Rooms were modern, clean and well laid out. Ceaner was in daily, but was a bit grumpy at times when we slept in and didnt respect the "do not disturb" sign. Was good value for money (All inclusive) . Relatively peaceful area, so usually quiet, despite being not far from the carnage of Magaluf. Signs at bar say max 3 drinks per person, but the reality was it was unlimited. two nice clean pools with a bar and snack bar at both. Staff were friendly, pleasant. Evening entertainment indicated not a huge budget and been assigned to it - we've seen much better acts elsewhere, they were ok but nothing memorable. Entertainment team were friendly, free kayaking and SUPing during the day which is well organised and pleasant. Food was good - not amazing but good - always found something nice to eat but wasnt tempted to stuff myself silly as had been the case in eg H10 hotels in the past. overall happy with the stay - would return
