Pros:

Locația este excepțională, un adevărat parc verde (am vizitat locația în luna mai). Deși este la 40-45 minute de centrul orașului Edinburgh cu autobuzul x27 sau x28, locația este o bijuterie. Spatii largi, verzi, daca esti amator și de golf, atunci sigur este un mare bonus. Personalul este foarte amabil și de ajutor. Locația este liniștită, retrasă față de drumul principal, la aproximativ 8 minute de mers pe jos. Statia de autobuz este chiar în dreptul intrării în parcul unde se afla hotelul. Camera a fost curata, personalul a făcut curățenie zilnic.

Cons:

Micul dejun este groaznic. Dacă ești vegetarian cred că ai o problemă. Lipsa completa a legumelor din meniu este un mare minus (și asta o spune un carnivor convins). Indiferent cat de local (scoțian sau englezesc) este micul dejun, lipsa legumelor fresh este de neînțeles. Chiar și ce era la micul dejun (Haggis, cârnați, omleta, roșii fierte, ciuperci gratinate, fasole) erau fără gust. Culmea, poate doar fasolea era cea care mai dădea un pic de culoare și gust micului dejun. Cafeaua este americană sau nescafe la aparat. Baia era fără perie de wc - și s-a menținut așa tot sejurul de 6 zile deși am solicitat o asemenea ustensila (ni s-au răspuns că nu mai mai pun la dispoziție așa ceva în camere și singura soluție ar fi să curețe personalul wc-ul). Va imaginați cât de penibilă este situația dacă ești cu prietena sau cu familia... Soluția a fost sa se piardă multa apa și timp pentru a remedia un aspect necesar.

This hotel is beautiful, the grounds are stunning and the beds are comfortable.

Cons:

Fridge in room didn’t work, water was warm and nowhere to get water as room service refused to bring water as it closed at 11pm.
Rooms are not well sign posted and found ourselves walking around the hotel on the wrong level.
Staff were unhelpful, luggage was lost until 10pm at night. Walked back and forth from a room to reception three times which is just unacceptable after having knee surgery. Breakfast served to the room in the morning was cold.

Quite disappointing.

Pros:

Our room was available ahead of check-in time which was appreciated. The grounds were lovely and the reception staff were helpful when we needed a plaster for one of the kids. Breakfast staff were nice and friendly but seems a lot of churn amongst the young group of staff.

Cons:

Rating could have been better if the keep up of the facilities had been better, feels a bit tired in places. For example the WiFi was not working which was not helpful when were planning the rest of our holiday trip
