Close to racetrack
Hot night no air conditioning
Excellent location for racing at Newcastle… room great .. free parking… good bar service. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment. We would definitely stay again .

Spa facilities were good and price was very good
Gym is dated and bedrooms the same
It’s in a great location next to woodland and has excellent facilities. The gym is very fitted out and includes a spa pool 👍. The breakfast was really above average and everything was freshly presented .
Unfortunately the air conditioning didn’t work in the room and as it was a warm day and having to have the window open meant it let in traffic noise. A shame really. I stayed with friends who were in another room and their aircon worked fine. I did report this to the staff in the morning and saw it put on a maintenance list. This is a large hotel so no doubt there’s always going to be maintenance required.
The room was very large and beds were very comfy.
The breakfast was a let down with tables left with dirty plates. Also waited ages for the food to be replenished. No bacon, sausages ,fried or scrambled eggs for ages. This is my third time and I must admit the other 2 times were great.
Location and parking
Very noisy as room 231 was close to the lift which was grinding up and down/door closures regularly. Also our rear situated room was above the generators/air con units very very loud, kept us awake. Would have changed rooms had we known. Hard
mattress, no fridge, and no charge points to plug in to charge laptops or phones.

The room was a good size and bed comfortable.
The bathroom was dated and not as clean as you would expect. You had to pay extra for the pool facilities when the price of a room with breakfast already seemed steep for what it was for an overnight stay - late check in and early check out, could have included an hour in the pool for free.
Breakfast was basic and they had ran out of most cooked items including beans!
I reported a broken lamp to reception and they didnt seem to even acknowledge this or see it as a problem. It wouldn't switch on at all.
Bed could have been slightly softer
