The breakfast was excellent plenty of choice of both sorts there was no rush to get finished all the staff were very friendly there was no reason to complain about any thingWonderful relaxing week

I wish to compliment this beautiful hotel in hosting my most enjoyable stay this week.
The hotel is spotless and is aestically pleasing and spacious with a lovely newly renovated tiered pool area.
The crowning glory of this hotel is its prime location and lovely staff. They are to be commended ,everyone of them are a great asset to the company and holiday experience. There are all ages of guest here and genres, solos, couples ,pals, older, younger, families, babies
The location is heavenly next to the marina and the beautiful paseo. The walks in both directions are out of this world, particularly early morning around sunrise.
I come to this area twice a year and love the beautiful scenery, walks,shops, and places to visit.
This time I went up to Arroyo de la Miel to see its famous purple tree flowering now and its lovely church also San Miguel Street for the nice shoe shops and Mercadona for toiletry haul.
The food at this hotel is really lovely, I was half board, everything really to a high standard and beautifully presented in an orderly manner with different food stations and show cooking.
I was in room 303 overlooking the paseo, and it was quiet at night.
The lifeguard on duty this week was very pleasant and had a good system regarding beach towel exchange.
A short walk to Mc Guinness pub Montemar where there is a great act duo on a Monday night not to be missed, Ian and Terri.
Carihuela area lovely too and a great Vietanmese nail salon on plaza Remo near The Cosy Corner Cafe (which is also excellent).
I look forward to my next break here.

Very friendly welcome when we arrived with a bit of banter, also glass of bubbly each. Hotel is clean & spacious, breakfast really good. Mattress had a dip both sides so not great to sleep on. I found the bar staff on our last evening rude, I stood at the bar and was ignored whilst she counted her tips, I would use this hotel again!

Proximity to the marina, lots of sun loungers available by the pool, good variety for breakfast

The property is kept very clean. The pool area is exceptionally well looked after. The location is very close to the beach with a larger number of bars and restaurants nearby

Perfect location, atmosphere okay but could be improved. Rooms perfectly adequate and kept clean and tidy. Good value due to location.
Pool towels removed after 30 minutes of being absent. Is okay but inadequate for lunch

A lovely hotel in an excellent location. The hotel is run to a high standard and has a very good manager and team. It is always a pleasure to stay there. Everyone is welcoming, friendly and helpful. It always makes our holidays enjoyable.

We stayed at this MAC hotel for a few days - just for a short relaxation break. We chose the Hotel because of the location and the reviews seemed very good overall. I can only echo that the Hotel is beautiful. Extremely clean and the staff are amazing. They’re so welcoming and eager to please. The pool although a little small wasn’t busy although the Hotel did seem quite full. There were plenty of sunbeds available at any time of the day. The location of the beach just over the road is always a bonus if you don’t want to pool day. We upgraded from B&B to half board for £24.00 and I must say it was worth every penny. The food was delicious and there was a great variety. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Great location and staff. Food also very good. Hotel needs fairly major modernisation as it’s quite tired looking. Sound insulation would make a big difference… we were close to lift and could hear every person passing by together with people outside balcony at night.

I always like to start a review with positives. This was my second holiday at this hotel l; the same week last year when we found it excellent on every level. The staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly, domestic staff fabulous in keeping the rooms spotless, location is great but - Big changes this year which have spoiled our holiday completely. I needed to seek medical attention one morning and when I returned to the pool, all our belongings have been removed by the lifeguard as we had been away from our lounges for over 30 minutes. The hotel now imposes very strict regulations on leaving your Sunlounger for longer than 30 minutes. This is an absurd policy that meant we were not even able to eat a meal at the pool bar as it wasn’t possible to be served under 20 minutes let alone wait, eat your meal and enjoy a drink within a 30 minute period before your belongings are taken away by the lifeguard and dumped at the side of the towels hut. It means you cannot leave the hotel to even go to a supermarket and buy provisions, Nor to take a stroll for exercise purposes down the promenade without having your belongings taken away by the lifeguard. This absurd policy of a 30 minute restriction had ruined our pleasure at the hotel. 30 minutes restriction is totally unrealistic and it is evoked many complaints we understand from other people who had a similar experience of having their belongings removed from their loungers. A one hour imposition is acceptable by all and I would 100% support this, however, 30 minutes imposition is beyond ridiculous. I repeat it fejt to have spoiled our holiday as we felt fixed to the loungers.?.
The food had declined in quality and choice from the previous year with meat being regularly undercooked, one evening only a choice of sausages pizza or beef burgers ( fish if you are veggie) and the beef burgers were disgusting and inedible whatever they had been made of. Other folks we chatted with had the same opinion and experience of the food quality.
Anybody staying for two weeks has to listen to the same entertainment all over again on each day of the week. Most hotels I’ve stayed in have a rotation of entertainment provision across a two week period therefore not having to watch the same acts all over again which is rather tedious for anybody staying longer than 7 nights. others voiced similar concerns who are there for longer than seven nights. This is no longer a hotel Of choice for us.

On arrival girl on reception desk very rude, there should have been 4 of us
But 2 had to cancel a few days before the girl said they hadn’t been informed told her my friend had done everything through jet2 she was not very happy
First night ordered 2 drinks with meal didn’t get receipt from waiter but paid 8 euros at desk on checking out was told I owed for drinks on first night so had to pay another 8 euros
Expensive 2 half’s of lager. Didn’t like birds flying around dinning area
Entertainment not very good.

The breakfast choice was amazing.
The location of the hotel was fabulous for all the amendments.

We have stayed here previously and we're so happy we booked to return. However as per the previous reviewer we found the 30 minute rule re sunbeds was far too short. When we had a meal at the poolside bar we returned to find our towels had been removed and someone else was occupying the beds. What made this worse was firstly, we were not advised of the rule at any time during check-in or on the paperwork and secondly the poolside bar took 20 mins to deliver the food.
As for the comments from the hotel re busy periods I saw the lifeguard remove towels at a time when there were 17 unused beds.
One other problem we found was that in our opinion the meat offered at dinner time was of a lesser standard than previously. One night, of the 2 meat offerings was a very sloppy beefburger and another time it was sausage.
Re the entertainment, some was first class but the nights when it was a single artist I am afraid that they were like a mediocre karaoke
Sorry but the hotel seems intent on losing custom with its 30 min pool rule and somewhat disappointing dinner offering.
We shall not return
