Geschmackvolle Unterkunft in toller Umgebung
Pros:

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer sehr guten Londoner Lage neben dem Britischen Müseum mit vielen Parks und Grünflächen. Viele Attraktionen sind sehr leicht füßläufig erreichbar. Einige Zimmer hatten einen Ausblick zum Garten/Bäumen. Das Hotel für sich war geschmackvoll und klassisch Englisch mit viel Charme eingerichtet. Unser geräumiges Zimmer lag auf Gartenseite mit großem Tageslichtbad. Zimmer-Annehmlichkeiten (Tee/Kaffee usw): Diese waren großzügig vorhanden und wurden täglich nachgefullt. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, zusätzlich zum Buffet wurde auf Wunsch Toast serviert.

Cons:

Der Frühstücksraum war im ausgebuchten Hotel sehr gut besucht, so dass teilweise die Anzahl der nah beieinander stehenden Tische kaum ausreichte. Im Zimmer ließen sich die Fenster zwar einfach öffnen, aber nicht arretieren, so dass die Luftzufuhr schlecht dosierbar war. Die Beleuchtung im Bad war mäßig, hellere Deckenlampen wären hilfreich. Der Wasserkocher befand sich (sehr unpraktisch) in einem Schränkchen an der Wand, so dass der Wasserdampf ungehindert die Wände des Holzes bedeckte.

Wouldn't stay here again
Pros:

The location and staff were great.

Cons:

The place was very shabby and somewhat dirty. We were in the basement and the elevator was very loud as was the staff preparing breakfast which woke us up at 6am.

Pros:

Don’t come here. It smells. I’m sat in a basement room that badly needs decorating. The furniture looks like it was rescued from bins. There is a perfectly good travel lodge nearby which we thought we were improving on but would stay there any day over here. The smell throughout the place is awful. The carpets are stained, the woodwork battered and the towels thin and crispy. Horrendous. There was a lovely girl working there who was very smiley- the only positive thing. It was only one night or I just wouldn’t have stayed

Not as it seems from photos before and after
Pros:

This was a birthday gift and what a gift it was ;(. I leave it for you to compare the difference. My hubby made the day that was the only good thing about it.
The hotel defo not a 4* as characterised on Groupon.
I am being totally honest and the pictures I took......... you be judge.
Unfriendly staff, not what I am use too
The room 312 was like a 4x4 compacted in everyway. no fridge, no air con only a fan and the towel rack in the bathroom was broken, no selection of teas and I like my mint tea.
We understand it is a listed building so cannot change much but it definitely needs some tender loving care.
Would I be coming back not blooming likely.
Wished I read the reviews first!!!!!!!!

Comfortable enough and the ideal location for us, but somewhat tired and needing repair.
Pros:

Location, service and general appearance were very good, general cleanliness was good and up to an expected standard

Cons:

The room was very tired, the toilet seat was broken, the stickers used to ‘frost’ the windows were peeling from the edges, curtain ties had been moved and the previous holes filled but not decorated, one set came out of the wall as the hook did not screw into the wall properly.

Similarly holes for what I assume was a headboard were poorly filled, while duvets did not fully cover the beds, given the heat during our stay it is worth noting there was not air conditioning in the room, there was two electric fans, unfortunately one of these had a broken bolt which meant the height was limited to the lowest setting.

Water pressure was very poor, it took a long time for the bath to fill and drainage from both the sink and bath was slow.
