Georgian family home turned hotel
Pros:

Great location, most of the staff were kind and helpful. I pre-requested a tub which was wonderful with all amenities. Breakfast was yummy. Location quiet and safe for female solo traveller.

Cons:

I would have liked some more help with my luggage from the staff member who I first had contact with, he was not very friendly. Luckily the other staff made up for it.

It was a basement room and there was water damage on the ceiling in 2 rooms but otherwise clean, tidy and welll appointed. It's a very old Georgian terrace in the centre of town. These buildings are a lot of work to restore and I think they are doing a wonderful job of maintaining them.

My stay was very pleasant.
Pros:

Overall experience was very satisfactory. The coffee and continental breakfast were great and the service wonderful -- very polite servers. Smiles at reception are always nice to the tired traveler. I was pleasantly surprised with the overall look of the property. I will return when next in London.

Cons:

Quibbles: pillows were musty, reception did not tell me that the room key turned on the lights or that there were grills on the windows. (I was in the basement and that first night I didn't open the windows b/c I was worried about outside entry and didn't notice the grills.)

Overall very pleasant experience with easy access to bus routes to popular parts of London
Pros:

Well located for arrival by northern inter city trains. Walkable distance from Euston. Didn't have breakfast. Luggage storage very good. Reception at hotel very helpful. Room comfortable. Kettle in room

Cons:

Queuing at reception at peak times but not unusually long. Beds are firm in nature bathrooms need an uplift

Adequate but will look elsewhere for a better standard next time.
Pros:

A large executive room, located at the back of the property. Quiet overlooking the garden and outside seating areas.

Cons:

The decor was very tired with scuffs on the walls and paintwork. The bathroom seemed dirty with black mould apparent in most areas.

A perfect place to catch your breath after the British Museum and before Les Misérables.
Pros:

What I liked most was the location — quiet, but still within walking distance of almost everything we needed. The underground station was about 5 minutes away. It was also very convenient that the room was only around 10 metres from the street entrance. The room itself was pleasantly spacious — more like a typical European hotel room than the small rooms often found in London.

Cons:

Breakfast was okay, but I have seen better and there is definitely room for improvement. Check-in was only available from 3:00 p.m.; when you arrive in London early in the morning, even 1–2 hours can make quite a big difference.

Great place to stay in London - Safe, quiet and large rooms
Pros:

We had a room next door to the main building on the third floor. It was huge. If not for record high temperatures in London, it would have been perfect. A King size bed, a couch, large room, small kitchen area, and large bathroom. We had three windows and 2 fans to help.

When we checked in, my wife wanted to stay in the lobby (with the air conditioning) while I walked around London. As soon, as the room was available, the staff brought her and the luggage up. They maintained a 24 hour staff and they were very friendly.

The location is right next door to the British Museum. A 2 minute walk from a bus stop that takes you directly to Tottingham Court Train Station (with the Elizabeth Line to Heathrow), so it was easy to get to the airport in under 1 hour.

Being next to Russell Square, it was very close to a few Tube stops, and it was in a quiet safe neighborhood, We will stay there again.

Cons:

We left very early, so we did not have breakfast, so we do not know about that. To get up to the lobby, you have to climb 4 stairs, but inside there is a lift. Only the lobby has air conditioning.

The worst bed in the world.
Pros:

A reasonably well appointed room but the bed is the hardest I have ever slept on. Unless you like sleeping on the floor please do not book here. Staff very unresponsive too.
