Grand Hotel Capodimonte

Great location with an easy walk to town. We travelled with our two daughters aged 17 and 15. Our rooms had a beautiful water view. Perfectly clean, lovely service. The breakfast was fabulous - literally anything you could possibly imagine to want to eat on an outdoor balcony with the same stunning views. We were really pleased we could stay in a lovely place and walk maybe 10-15 minutes and be in the heart of Sorrento's pedestrian shopping area where we enjoyed great meals.

Just arrived back from a week's holiday in this hotel. This is our second stay here and were not disappointed. Lovely food, really nice room with balcony overlooking the bay of Naples. Close to the town of Sorrento, walking distance. Staff are all really friendly. The Maître d', sorry can not remember his name, told me it was his last season there and he is retiring. I was going to wish him well on my last day at breakfast, but he wasn't there! If I had any thing that I would improve, I think the swimming pools are looking a bit tired.

Hotel is splendid, lovely rooms, 5 cascading swimming pools/infinity pools with great food and staff. Views across Bay of Naples was stunning.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon and we had an amazing time! The hotel is beautiful and in a great location - just up the hill from the city center means it is a bit quieter and the views are amazing. The staff was great throughout our stay. The only reason we are not giving a 5-star review is that during checkout, there was a 10-15 minute delay in bringing our bags from our room to the driveway (the hallways are complex and stairs only, so the porters transport luggage throughout the hotel), which made us and the taxi driver wait while he was running his meter. Besides that small issue, we had a great time and highly recommend this hotel!

Just back from a 10 night stay for our honeymoon and wow - what an amazing hotel! The whole hotel feels so spacious and luxurious - we loved the Italian feel and traditional tile. Every member of staff was great and a credit to the hotel (maybe their uniform could be relaxed a little as the weather was incredibly hot and they were in shirts, waistcoats and trousers!) The views are amazing and the pool area is great with plenty of sunbeds. We could have easily spent every day here and not gone out and explored the local area!! We had a room with a garden view - these are the walls of our hotel but didnt bother us at all and was much better than expected - we barely spent any time in the room and the hotel has so many amazing spaces to take in the beautiful views. We also had our toddler with us - they had highchairs for breakfast and whilst the pool was quite deep, she managed to spend lots of time playing in it! The hotel is well located - a short walk into the old part of sorrento (the best part in our opinion!) And plenty of restaurants/bars. We will definitely be back one day! What a memorable trip - thank you!

Excellent property and location perfect for Sorrento centre

This is a luxurious and beautiful hotel with wonderful rooms and fantastic pools. The staff are so kind and classy. The hotel, for all its strengths, is a bit too old-fashioned and I thin needs to adapt a bit to modern tastes. For instance, they have their poor employees working in long pants and jackets and sleeves when it's nearly 100 degrees in August. I appreciate the old school European formality, but it's a little too old fashioned and would benefit from a modest 'refresh.'

Just home from a weekend at this hotel as a large group of 7 couples and it was perfect.

The location is excellent, it’s about a 5/10 minute walk into the main town area and 20/25 minute walk to the marina.

Breakfast was great, lots of choice, omelette station, pastries, prosecco and a setting where you can really just sit back and enjoy.

Rooms were nice and spacious, balcony area was nice too and they were cleaned every day with fresh towels. The roller blinds that completely black out the room is also a win!

The real highlight of this hotel has to be the pool area, it’s so beautiful you never want to leave and could spend days there.

I would also give a special mention to the Pool Bar Staff, they honestly are amazing, so attentive, quickly remembered room numbers, preferred drinks and the service was incredible.

I would recommend this hotel over and over again and have no doubt we will return.

After visiting the hotel last year we couldn’t wait to return. Everything was perfect. The location is great to get in and out of town, the hotel is clean and well maintained. The pools are my best part of the hotel with a stunning view. The highlight had to be the staff. It was lovely to see the same staff were still there and lovely and welcoming. I have to say a special word about Anna-Marie. At breakfast and lunch she was there with a big smile on her face and so accommodating. All the staff seem very happy there which is a pleasure to see and a great compliment to the hotel.
