Perfect for First Timers to Istanbul especially if you love exploring
Pros:

The location was amazing as it was our first time in Istanbul. The restaurant at the hotel is terrible , but when you go out the little back gate youll find an awesome place to eat. However the location was just perfect. No car needed. I could go out for my power-walk every morning on the sea front, and explore the old city in the day and the thousands of restaurants at night, all in walking distance behind the Hotel. You can get lost and be amazed by the wonders of Istanbul.

Cons:

The Hotel was just ok. Very old. Didnt even bother with breakfast as the food was really bad.

Kalyon Hotel enjoys an excellent and convenient location in the Fatih/Sultanahmet area, making it easy to reach many of Istanbul’s historic attractions. I particularly appreciated the friendly and helpful bellmen, as well as the clearly separated recycling bins and visible attention to sustainability in the public areas.

Cons:

There were, however, a few aspects of my stay that I hope the hotel will consider improving. The Panoramic Room and its view did not quite meet the expectations created by the online descriptions and photos, and some of the furniture, upholstery, and carpets appeared worn or in need of deeper cleaning and maintenance.

Housekeeping could also be more consistent, particularly regarding the overall cleanliness and condition of the room. Sleep comfort was affected by noise and by the bed and pillows, which I personally found uncomfortable.

Communication at reception was another area where a more welcoming, clear, and solution-oriented approach would have made the experience more pleasant.

I was pleased to see the hotel highlighting sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, together with practical recycling facilities. It would be even more meaningful to see these values reflected consistently across housekeeping, maintenance, guest comfort, and service quality.

It’s very far from attractions and need to pay for transportation a lot of money. The customer service is very poor and don’t handle the problem properly as AC in my room wasn’t working and they didn’t solve my problem plus I booked the panoramic room and they gave me half panoramic one

Шумно. Никакой шумоизоляции окон. Окно выходило на Kennedy Caddesi, как я и выбирала. Сначала подумала, что окна открыты. Нет, закрыты 😆. Но для кого- то такой шум- это нормально )).

Not a wonderful start to our European Holiday!
Pros:

Location over looking the water was lovely, and was close to major tourist areas. Foyer was spacious and comfortable and Starbucks coffee was also on hand.

Cons:

Reception staff had difficulty understanding English which made communication difficult.
My room had some issues such as the safe did not work (this was rectified) we also had an issue with the shower where the soap dish and handle broke off the wall and then the mixer tap also broke which made adjusting the water impossible. Housekeeping was very late to clean our rooms requesting we leave at 4;30pm so they could clean, then they failed to leave towels which took 6 hrs to rectify.
