Great location & setting. Ideal for a group golf trip. Spa & Pool lovely.
Pros:

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Lovely setting and great location. Food in the restaurant was also exceptional. Leisure facilities were also great.

Cons:

The wi fi connection was really poor. Stayed in the Larkspur cottage and unfortunately the room above was very noisy. Old buildings so could every footstep.

3rd stay and generally very good and great location
Pros:

Location is excellent, room very comfortable, plenty of parking, great breakfast with plenty of choice

Cons:

Drinks at the bar seem expensive and although I booked 5 rooms and paid up front for bed and breakfast rate my colleagues were charged extra for breakfast in the morning, this was rectified after I contacted reception, should not happen though

Beautiful location, sadly the weather was dire. Obviously nobody’s fault. I pray we can visit another time. Never the less. We throughly enjoyed our break.

Was alright. Would stay again but £160 was a bit much.
Pros:

The room and the grounds. Didn't try the food but I imagine it was good. The staff were nice and friendly.

Cons:

The spa was underwhelming and the jacuzzi was closed for maintenance. It did the job with the steam room and sauna but was not as good as the pictures depicted also there were loads of screaming kids in the pool so was hardly a relaxing spa experience.

Lovely place, would recommend!
Pros:

Amazing 1400s gatehouse entrance with original features inside the restaurant eg wood wall panelling, huge fireplace and ornate ceiling. All the staff were really friendly, the food/drink was great and reasonably priced (£7 glass of Prosecco), everywhere was very clean and my bedroom was spacious and comfortable.

Cons:

Some of the back parts of the property needed a lick of paint but this didn’t impact my stay at all and they are clearly in the process of sorting this out. I think they could make more of the age of the gatehouse etc with more plaques and info, but the staff themselves were very knowledgeable.
No photos on website of the spa which worried me when booking but it was fine - decent sized pool, big jacuzzi, smart steam room and sauna.
