We had a great stay! The buildings and general area is very nicely kept and feels like staying in a castle. The golf course was a lot of fun with a very reasonable green fee. EV charging is available at reasonable prices (0.55£). The breakfast as well as the Sunday roast were excellent, with great service and dining facilities. Even though the rooms are older, they are in great shape!
Unfortunately no AC, which would be appreciated in summer.

Signage to places wasnt the best
As travelling to hotel to celebrate my wifes birthday, really appreciated reception staff upgrading my room. Plus note must have been sent to restaurant which I had booked prior to arriving as they gave her a free glass of prosecco.

Got there 12 noon for a wedding 10 minutes taxi ride away,room wasn’t ready,so left cases with reception who noted we wouldn’t be back until around 11.30 pm.When back late at night reception seemed to have a job finding our room. Then said room was not in main hotel but in the village ,not only in the village but in the furthest part of it. This meant a long walk with cases through graveyard and then to the end of the long grounds. Dissapointing our room wasn’t allocated in the morning especially having prior knowledge that we were returning very late at night. At the least they should have had the staff who was riding around on Golf Buggy type carts to take us to the far end of site . Thats the only grouse but overall a very good hotel.
