Toilet many times didn’t flush, long flight of outside stairs to get to room

Rooms are dated , no lift for the elderly and disabled as there are a lot of stairs to contend with . Breakfast was a farce, sat for 30 minutes to be served then when someone did eventually serve me I was told the kitchen was closed
Nous avons profité d'une étape agréable dans cet hôtel spacieux de Thurso. Le café inclus dans l'hôtel offre la possibilité de prendre des repas et donne un aperçu de la vie locale, c'est appréciable en voyage.
Le petit déjeuner pourrait être présenté sous forme de buffet, plutôt que servi à la place. Le fonctionnement de certains équipements est déroutant (douche, détecteur incendie).

Its a bit worn and aged but I was comfortable.

Breakfast was sufficient,more choice of cereals etc would have been nice(fruit?) Food was hot.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The car parking area did not give a good impression, we didnt want to park our car in what looked like a bit of waste ground which made us anxious as to security.we appreciate that the hotel is a listed building,but the corridor doors and walls and carpet were dirty.The water in the bathroom was excessively hot and couldn't be controlled.
Great location, close to the ferry to Orkney. Rooms were large and clean. Friendly, pleasant staff.
No food served on the day we arrived and breakfast was a bit rushed due to a coach party and the fact that we also had to leave early.

Rien de bien folichon... En dehors de la personne à l'accueil, pas franchement sympa. Petit déjeuner pas à la hauteur : buffet quasiment vide à 8h, et choix de plats limité aux œufs au bacon - saucisse. Ensemble vieillot sans cachet. Grande chambre avec grande (et vieille) salle de bains.
Cerise sur le gâteau : pour atteindre la chambre 223, il faut franchir 6 (!) portes coupe-feu, 4 couloirs et 45 marches.
Parking privé derrière l'hôtel.
Bref... ensemble très moyen.
Vu le service du petit déjeuner, j'ai pas tenté le restau.

Centrally located.
Getting to the rooms can be a bit confusing. Its a mini maze.
There are no elevators. That makes it difficult for senior citizens. Make sure you let the reception know if you have difficulties with stairs, at the time of booking.
We were 6 people, booked 3 rooms, but they were all poles apart.
The TV's in the twin rooms were smaller than a PC monitor.

Room only has windows high up so no view. Rooms was exceptionally hot as radiator scalding hot.
