Avila Beach Hotel, unlocks an Amazing area of the Central Coast
Pros:

Avila Beach has been familiar to me since a teen coming to the coast from Central Valley as a youth, when I had been there before it was an oil shipping point for Kern County oil, dirty and stinky!
Today it is a bright beach enclave with everything available within walking distance from the beautiful beach side hotel.
The hotel has wonderful ocean view suites from every room, provided breakfast, though not great, but certainly sufficient.
Our room had wonderful amenities,two large screen televisions,so my spouse could sleep as I watched sports or news, due to the suites that every room has.
The beach, pier, restaurants are close and very good, and nearby places to see such as the lighthouse, Morro Bay, and great wine areas in Edna Valley.
If you are a golfer, a public course nearby calls your name!
A wonderful hotel at a location I knew as a youth but found a warm comforting beach town that everyone should embrace.

Great place! Seems like a high price, but you get Parking (if you know the area, this is huge), great breakfast, beach and pool toys. Right down the street from everything!

View from room was blocked by a tree, one chair on patio was kinda broken. Patio outside small and no sun can get through to enjoy beach weather. Some
Gates are inaccessible so longer walk than necessary.

A wonderful place!
Pros:

I’ve enjoyed my past visits to Avila Lighthouse Suites so much that I decided I would give a two nights stay to my son for his 40th birthday. He and his wife just came back and they had a wonderful time. They plan on going back and taking their children next time.
The Lighthouse property is well-maintained with beautiful rooms that have beautiful views. The setting is very peaceful. This small town is so fun to walk around, look at the shops, get a bite to eat, and then watch a beautiful sunset. I can’t say enough good things about Avila Lighthouse Suites.

A very restful and comfortable property with easy access to Bob Jones trail and great weather
Pros:

The location and hot breakfast was very good. They were repairing/painting many of the front rooms by the pool. I have stayed in other hotels in Avila Beach. Great weather! Nice little shops.

Cons:

The price for the suite was $$$ and limited choices of rooms due to the painting of many rooms near the poolside so booking was limited. The suite was very nice and it was right by the road so it was a bit noisy at night. There was no ping pong table as advertised.

The room air conditioner was not working properly and the shutter to the sliding door was broken. The property needs updates and attention to fixing up the rooms better.

Great city and stay
Pros:

We stayed one night. We wish it could’ve been more but the place was only available one night. The rooms are great (make sure not to get rooms near the laundry room). They were well done and the place was very clean. The morning buffet was excellent. We also loved the hot tub and pool. The games areas were now fire pits. We loved our stay and can’t wait to go back.

Pros:

Loved the location. Walked across the street for a beach day or across the sidewalk for a pool day. Smaller pool space(fills up quickly) but still fun!
Loved the breakfast, best continental breakfast we have had at a hotel!

Wonderful weekend get away
Pros:

My family and I occupied 2 rooms w/2 queen bd and pull out couch both were clean,spacious, easily fit 5-6 people in one room. Breakfast was great: eggs, waffle maker, oatmeal, bacon one day sausage next, chilaquiles! So good!amongst other choices as well. The pool was great hot tub nice and hot. Games for kids to play like corn hole, one hole putting green, bikes and boogie boards available too. Loved the beautiful flowers and plants surrounding the grounds. Location is prime! Right across the street is the beach walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. Staff were all very friendly and attentive to all your needs. Will definitely stay again
