The room facilities were excellent and so were the breakfasts. The staff were very good too, friendly and efficient.
We had a room on the 1st floor, we had a bit of a hike each time as it was right at the far end of the corridor. We managed to park in front of the hotel for the first night. We were away each day in Woodlesford visiting family so didn't get back until early evening. On the 2nd and third nights we had to park well behind the hotel. Again a bit of a hike, the weather was particularly bad on the third night with rain! We had an evening meal on the 1st night with one of us two courses and the other, one course and Latte and a glass of wine each. Costing each of us £40, which we thought was rather expensive for what we had. Otherwise the hotel was very good as explained above.
Really friendly helpful staff. Comfy bed and nice decor in room. Good breakfast .
There was an electrical hum audible all night In the room I had, I prefer complete silence so would ask for a room further away from the spa next time. I am a regular guest & The rooms I have had before were much quieter.
Was beautiful, the bar staff was amazing and the restaurant staff was 100% Oliver went out of hos way to make sure we was happy with our food and wine. Food was put of this world.
Just the view from outer room
Beautiful location Impressive lounges and decoration

Room was lovely, bed and bedding really comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was very good with everything you could want.
Housekeeping was a bit hit and miss with replenishing items, sugar etc. The view from our room wasn’t a view at all. There was a rooftop adjoining the building with a discarded length of wood on it with dense trees straight behind it and this was all you could see. Did make the room a bit dark due to the trees being close by. This was room 121. It was a standard entry level room and I’m sure the views are better with higher grade rooms
Wunderschönes Haus mit gemütlichen Räumlichkeiten. Badewanne. Gutes Frühstück. Ruhig.
Alles gut
I love the building and style of the property. The evening meal was excellent.
I couldn’t use the driving range in the afternoon because the App would only let me book the next day despite the fact that no one was using it! Breakfast was disappointing with only buffet style available.
The property was full of character, very well maintained and a great location.

Charlotte m was amazing - great service; friendly and helpful in the bar.
Room nice size , comfy bed. Had sky to so we could watch the Grand Prix
Well sound insulated - not disturbed by noises outside - I sleep lightly.
Food was not good at all. Breakfast Hash browns had either been there forever or/and were so overcooked I struggled to stab a fork into them. Literally!
We ate at the bar area in the evening, food tasted mass produced. Not great. Hubby had fish and chips and I had mussels and fries. The mussels tasted grainy as if they were cooked from frozen like the packs in the supermarket- no idea if they were but didn’t taste like fresh ones do.
Location
Location near to my home - it was for my wedding eve for myself and daughter
The restaurant was shocking we ordered pizzas and clearly not put our order through as a hour and half later still waiting not great and no offer of a drink etc
very nice
very cool
