Perfect Location for Exploring Art Nouveau and Riga
Pros:

We chose the Monika Centrum hotel because of its location IN the major Art Nouveau district - our top reason to visit. It was perfect - easy to walk around the neighborhood - which we did many times. As we explored Riga, it's suburbs, and seaside Jurmala, Latvia, we found it convenient to access public transportation just outside the hotel. We enjoyed the beautiful park across the street. ...The hotel is an interesting, lovely classic building with a lot of character. Our room was clean, large and airy (high ceiling and windows). The beds and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was generous and delicious. The local seeded black bread is a must-have! We definitely would stay here again!

Cons:

There is no lift to bring your luggage from the street level up to the reception desk. No bell person to help. However, the main building elevator was good.

Gemütliches Stadthotel in toller Lage
Pros:

Gemütliches Hotel in toller Lage,die Zimmer sind groß, das Badezimmer auch. Gutes Frühstück, freundliches Personal. Würde jederzeit wieder kommen.

Cons:

Es war etwas mühsam, den schweren Koffer über die Eingangsstufen zu tragen bzw über die "Rampe" zu schieben. Aber schließlich hat der junge Mann von der Rezeption gerne geholfen.

Cons:

The lady at the reception gave us incorrect information regarding the buses during the marathon. She told us that public buses were not running to the airport because of the marathon, but they actually were. Because of her incorrect information, we were close to missing our flight. here was constant noise from some kind of system or equipment in the room 24 hours a day, which was very disturbing.

Super Frühstück und tolle Lage mit kleinem Makel
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut und man kommt problemlos in die historische Altstadt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer, dass nicht zur Straße ging und somit deutlich weniger Lärm aufgrund der gut befahrenen Straße vor dem Hotel. Das Frühstück ist wirklich umfangreich und gut.

Cons:

Das Hotel ist alles in allem gut, aber die Zimmer sind schon in die Jahre gekommen und es sollte in den nächsten Jahren etwas gemacht werden. Aber es war alles sauber.

Pros:

L'ampiezza della stanza. La colazione è abbondante, soprattutto quella salata, ma tutti i giorni ripetitiva. Nel complesso un buon hotel.

Cons:

Lo staff dovrebbe essere più cordiale. Ogni tanto dimenticavano di pulire la stanza.

Most enjoyable stay in the heart of Riga.
Pros:

Location is superb. Lovely area only 10 minutes walk from the old town. 20 minutes’ lovely walk to the railway station or bus station. Beautiful park across the road and another one not far from the hotel. It was a good choice for a short stay in Riga.

Nothing.

Kronvalda Park and Balcony with view
Pros:

The location is super--located across from a park and near the Art Nouveau Museum. I actually prefer this location because of the green space and nearness to walking and brunch spots. I stayed (twice) in a suite and had a balcony that looked across Elizabetes, a main street in Riga. The room is significantly larger than what I've been able to find across Europe.
