It’s great for older people who want to stay farther from the center and chill

Great family run hotel close to Sorrento centre. Fabulous pool surrounded by lemon trees. We had a fantastic view of Mount Vesuvius from our balcony. Great choice for breakfast.

This hotel is in the perfect location and the pool area is lovely and perfect for a break from sight seeing.

The view from our room was breathtaking, looking out over the sea at mount Vesuvius. The breakfast buffet had a fabulous array of treats covering just about everything you might want which is a great way to start the day.
There is a beautiful pool area and gardens to relax in surrounded by citrus trees & just a 10 minute walk to the train station & the bustling old town, it's perfect to explore or just unwind.

La excelente atención del personal. La comida muy buena en el restaurante. La vista que teníamos desde la habitacion. La piscina con su bar espectacular.

El hotel es muy lindo, cálido y cómodo. El desayuno es buffet y variado, la habitación que reservé era cómoda y tenía una vista espectacular desde el balcón podía ver el Vesibio y el mar.

Hotel Girasole – Sorrento:
Please take the time to read the reviews for this hotel before booking. Unfortunately, we did not do so, and yet our experience closely reflected the concerns raised by many other guests.
My friend and I were booked into Hotel Girasole by our tour operator, Citalia. Although we have travelled extensively over the past ten years, this was the first holiday we felt we had no choice but to cut short.
We requested to be moved to alternative accommodation but were advised by Citalia that this would incur additional costs of over £2,000, or we could find our own accommodation.
Having already paid £4,600 for this holiday, we were not in a position to make any further payment, and as two elderly travellers, we also did not feel safe wandering the streets of Sorrento late at night, to find somewhere else to stay. The situation caused us considerable stress, and as a result, we stayed only one night before returning home on the earliest available flight.
Although our booking was half board, we chose not to eat at the hotel. The accommodation did not meet our expectations for either cleanliness or comfort. After raising our concerns, a member of the housekeeping staff insisted that we had been allocated one of the hotel’s better rooms. This was particularly distressing given the condition of the room and the fact that our long-anticipated trip to Sorrento was effectively ruined.
Hotel Girasole is dated and situated on a very busy main road. The constant traffic noise and fumes were overwhelming, and the narrow pavement made walking to nearby restaurants uncomfortable and unsafe. In our opinion, this location is not suitable for families with young children.
The room itself had visible dirt in the corners, a shower room we found unhygienic, and extremely limited space around the toilet, which could only be used by sitting sideways. There was minimal bedding and only one electrical socket. Overall, the standard fell far below what we expected given the overall cost of our trip.

We share this review in the hope that others do not make the same mistake we did.

A lovely family hotel full of charm, kind staff, clean & comfortable with air conditioned rooms. Breakfast was a delicious Italian style - fruit, yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs, cold meats, tomatoes, crusty rolls or toast AND a great selection of fresh pastries & cakes with plenty of hot drinks. The garden was such a comfort after a day of sightseeing & the pool area was clean with plenty of beds & seating in the shade.About a 10 minute walk into central Sorrento & a bus stop nearby for convenience.
We stayed one week & wished it was longer.
Thank you to all the staff for making our stay very enjoyable & relaxing.

Good place bit outside of Sorrento but the walk is not too bad.

ottima base per visitare Sorrento e la Costa Amalfinana. premetto che io mi sono spostato in scooter, altrimenti le cose cambiano......

The location was perfect, a 20 minute walk into the centre of Sorrento. A 15 minute walk to the train station with links to all areas of the Amalfi Coast. It has beautiful views of the coastline and Vesuvius.

The breakfast was amazing - so much selection each morning and the staff were so friendly and attentive ensuring you had everything you needed.

The room was a great size and was cleaned everyday to a high standard. We had such a comfortable stay.

All the staff were friendly and welcoming and gave us local recommendations and help when we needed it. They allowed us to stay in the garden / pool area even after we had checked out of our room before we left for our flight, which made such a huge difference.

The pool area was beautiful and maintained so well. The staff at the poolside were also faultless and made every effort to ensure you had everything you required.

We cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely return if we are ever in Sorrento again.

Het is een gedateerd hotel op een prima locatie en betaalbaar voor de omgeving. Je moet hierbij realiseren dat je niet in een top hotel zit. Het is gedateerd op zijn Italiaans. Personeel was ok maar stug en oubollig. Ze wisten geen up to date antwoorden op simpele vragen als bustijden/halte etc.
ontbijt is goed gevarieerd en lekker maar ook hier geen gezellige sfeer. Je kunt wel lekker buiten zitten. Tuin met fruitbomen maakt de sfeer maar aankleding verder zeer gedateerd.

Kamer was niet schoon, stoffig en door verouderde meubels geen frisse uitstraling. Bedden lagen prima en bedegoed en handdoeken schoon.
Locatie van het hotel goed lopend bereikbaar( 15-20 minuten) van centrum Sorrento en trein/bus station.
