The hotel is very well located. The neighbourhood has a holiday village vibe to it. Supermarket right next to the hotel.
The hotel has a pebble beach, which is quite nice, albeit small and without fine sand. But still, very nice little harbour and beach. The view from the room is just beautiful, overseeing the old town of Kavala and the fortress.
The breakfast was quite good, a lot of variety, and definitely kid friendly options.
Staff are polite and friendly.
The hotel may be a 5 star on paper, but it definitely doesn't feel like a 5 star facility.
The room was smelly and needed to be aired. Everything, except the bathroom, seemed dated, used, and poorly maintained. The carpets were very used and stained. The walls were stained and scratched, in the room as well as in the hotel hallway. It doesn't have the facilities and the comfort that you would expect from a 5 star hotel.
Considering the rate that I paid, well over 200 euros a night, I'd say it's pricey for what it offers.
The whole building suggests neglect, even the facade is damaged in some visible places. The only thing saving the experience, in my opinion, is the perfect location, surroundings, views, and the breakfast.
I would recommend it, it's not a bad hotel, just not a 5 star and it is definitely pricey, at least for what it offered. If you can get a decent deal, go for it.

Plaj kenarı, efsane kahvaltı, güzel deniz ve konum.
Закуската е супер. Единствено нямаше топло мляко. Всяка сутрин помолвах сервитьор и той ми носеше. Плажът е близо до хотела. Водата беше бистра. Даваха кърпи и шезлонга ни беше на първа линия. До града ходихме с кола. Старият град е много интересен. От крепостта Акрополис гледката е впечатляваща.
