Great location and tasteful building with gorgeous interior.
The room was slightly small, as were the bananas at the breakfast. The latter led to my wife making an inappropriate joke at my expense which I took personally, completely ruining the remainder of the vacation.
Top Lage.

Fika var under forventning. Kornmokjeks uten noe tilbehør og svært tynne skiver av gulrotkake. Kaffe ofte tomt i kanna. Luktet noe kloakk i korte perioder på rommet.

We had chosen this hotel, despite its high price, to spend our last night in Norway in comfort. Unfortunately, we were woken at 6:30 a.m. by major construction work directly outside our room, including cranes and heavy machinery, making it impossible to get any more sleep.
We fully understand that the hotel itself is not responsible for the construction work. However, we were very disappointed that we had not been informed in advance about these disturbances, especially as the situation was clearly already known to the hotel.
What was even more disappointing was the way our complaint was handled. After asking to speak with the manager, we were simply told that the hotel had already tried to discuss the issue with the construction company without success, that our comments regarding the lack of prior information would be passed on to colleagues, and that for anything further we should send a written complaint.
For a hotel of this standard, we expected a much more attentive response to a situation that had directly affected the quality of our night. No real solution or meaningful gesture of compensation was offered on site.
In the end, we paid the price of a high-end hotel without receiving what should be the most basic expectation of any overnight stay: the ability to sleep properly. Unfortunately, the way our complaint was handled only added to our disappointment.

The location is good, and the breakfast, fika, and dinner were all very good — the food was well beyond my expectations.
The reception team was pleasant, but it was clear they hadn’t been properly trained. On a few occasions they gave inaccurate information in an effort to please rather than taking the time to confirm the facts.
The main lift was very slow and the rooms were not cleaned well. Water was coming out of the shower and safe didn't work.
I will not stay in this hotel again.
Distinguished hotel. Friendly & very well maintained. Food was tasty and bed comfortable.
Il y en aurait eu beaucoup à souligner : emplacement, charme du bâtiment, niveau de prestations et confort de la chambre. Mais il est difficile de les apprécier pleinement lorsqu’on est réveillé à 6 h 30 par un chantier sous la fenêtre et que la réponse apportée ensuite à la réclamation reste aussi décevante.
Nous avions choisi cet hôtel, pourtant cher, pour passer confortablement notre dernière nuit en Norvège. Nous avons malheureusement été réveillés à 6 h 30 par d’importants travaux juste sous la fenêtre de notre chambre, avec grues et engins de chantier, rendant impossible toute fin de nuit.
Nous comprenons parfaitement que l’hôtel ne soit pas responsable du chantier lui-même. En revanche, nous avons été très déçus de ne pas avoir été informés à l’avance de ces nuisances alors qu’elles étaient manifestement connues de l’établissement.
Le plus regrettable a été la façon dont notre réclamation a ensuite été traitée. Après avoir demandé à rencontrer le manager, il nous a simplement été indiqué que l’hôtel avait déjà essayé de discuter avec l’entreprise de travaux sans parvenir à résoudre le problème, que nos remarques concernant l’absence d’information seraient transmises aux collègues, et que, pour le reste, nous devions adresser un courrier.
Nous attendions d’un établissement de ce standing une prise en charge beaucoup plus attentive d’une situation ayant directement affecté la qualité de notre nuit. Aucune véritable solution ni geste commercial ne nous a été proposé sur place.
Au final, nous avons payé le prix d’un hôtel haut de gamme sans bénéficier de ce qui reste pourtant l’essentiel d’une nuit d’hôtel : pouvoir dormir dans de bonnes conditions. La gestion de notre réclamation a malheureusement renforcé notre déception.
