Birthday stay
Pros:

Room clean and spacious. Reception staff very friendly

Cons:

Went to the pool spa to relax only to discover kids swimming lessons which were loud and went on past the "finish" time. Not a relaxing experience. Especially when we booked thus hotel specifically for the pool.

Would stay again but would lower expectations
Pros:

Spa area was lovely and quite and clean
Restaurant food was incredible - I had the lamb - service was a bit slower and i had to ask for water a few times but no big deal
bed was the most comfortable bed i have ever stayed in! Staff friendly informative and welcoming.

The hotel is looking a bit tired - could do with some new carpet and a lick of paint. There was a dead moth on the stairs when i arrived at 3pm - it was still there when i left at 11am the next day - lets see if its still there when i return!

Cons:

Its looking a bit tired - could do with new carpet and a lick of paint - looks a bit dated.

The sauna is a shared space - i would have preferred ladies/men. Late at night when i was in the spa i felt uncomfortable using it so didn't.

Pros:

Great location with brilliant views. The spa looked excellent, although we didn't use it. The staff in the bar and restaurant were very friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

The room was comfortable but didn't feel as clean as it should have. There was noticeable grime in the bathroom, marks on the door, and the carpet could have been cleaner. The air conditioning didn't work during a heatwave, making the room very stuffy. We also paid for a deluxe room upgrade but weren't convinced the room reflected the upgrade.

Pleasant stay
Pros:

Room was very spacious and quiet in the old part of the property. Breakfast was good.

Cons:

No air conditioning, but we were grateful for the fan that was provided.
Only one available single power socket in our room which is insufficient these days, and this was on the opposite side of the room to the desk.

Cons:

Room no bathrobes or slippers. Bulky air conditioner taking up floor space not working, No mini fridge. Standard bed not king size which is what should be expected in a supposedly 4* hotel.
Sink plug inoperable
Breakfast orange juice watered down from concentrate.
Machine coffee very weak.
Wonky table causing coffee beaker and orange juice to spill. This table not removed whilst I was there.
The floor of the whole pool area dangerously slippery..

Pros:

Have stayed here several times over the last few years. Great location to visit Ironbridge and surrounding area. Lovely comfortable rooms. Facilities great, pool, sauna, steam room, gym and all free to access if a guest at the hotel.
Grounds beautiful and relaxing. Bar/ restaurant serves good food and reasonable priced for a hotel.
Staff very polite and accommodating. Would definitely recommend if visiting area.

Friendly, comfortable and luxurious.
Pros:

Great staff, warm reception on arrival, clear information.
The view from the restaurant was fantastic

Cons:

The only small thing was the mix up between being told we could check out at 12pm and then the maids knocking on the door at 11am, but this could have been because I went to down to the car to put the first lot of stuff away, and they might have thought that was me leaving. Otherwise it was fantastic, and we will definitely stay here again!
