It may not be possible to accommodate guests in the same room for each consecutive night of their stay.
Pet-friendly rooms are limited. A GBP 15 fee per pet per night applies and guests are required to inform the property in advance.
When booking five or more rooms, group terms and conditions are applied to your reservation. A 10% non-refundable deposit is taken at time of booking and full payment and rooming list are required six weeks prior to your arrival. Perfect location on the lake. Traditional hotel building with a large bar. Lovely staff - especially the lady who checked us in.
Poky, inconvenient room to pick-up breakfast components, therefore crowded and hot.
Location of as perfect - right on the water’s edge at the head of Windermere. Great beer garden. Very friendly staff.
Good quality; breakfast was self service and no limit to how much you could choose. Also it was varied.
The location was good near the lake though the noise of the traffic in the mornings woke us up.
The constant music in the inn was something we didn't appreciate.
the location on the lake is great which was the main reason we wanted to stay here
dis-organised check in process, especially as the bar was busy. the food is extremely expensive and poor, you are paying for the view. the breakfast very basic for example no coffee machine which i found surprising

Both myself and my husband enjoyed our holiday, it was amazing especially because our dog could come in for breakfast and a late night drink with us. The facilities were brilliant. We sat outside for our evening meal as the weather was great. The view was fantastic. Lots of dogs all friendly. An amazing vibe for the young and old. Staff really friendly and attentive and they must work really hard . I would definitely recommend you and already have to my family. Thank you for an amazing stay.
The only thing was the meals on the menu. Maybe do a lasagne and keep your sandwiches on the menu all day with a bit more variety. I preferred to eat outside for my evening meal and we did but sometimes just wanted something light like a sandwich . Other than this I couldn’t fault you. Just expand your menu, even introduce jacket potatoes with maybe tuna mayonnaise or cheese and beans and a steak ciabatta and salad .
The location was perfect for us.
Excellent location, next to the waters edge. The room was spacious and quiet, despite being near the road. A good large bathroom, with a strong walk-in shower. Comfy bed. Overall, exceptionally clean and well presented. Parking was outside the building and nearby. Ample and good quality breakfast, plus the two evening meals we had were reasonably priced, with good quality food. Throughout, staff were attentive and personable.
Minor point, but the scraping of the chairs on the slate floor in the dining area is excruciating to anyone wearing hearing aides - it must be the frequency!
