The rooms were really comfortable
The breakfast was cold but we were the last there
The location is excellent, right in front of the lake. The room is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable.
It would be a great improvement if the rooms were equipped with a refrigerator and a telephone.
hotel was centrally located
air conditioning was not working
Location
We were on the top floor and getting the cases up was a struggle
The location is perfect for visiting surrounding areas.
The breakfast was good. All the staff very friendly.
There were quite a few steps up to the top floor. Not a problem for ourselves but with no lift, some quests may struggle.
Location
Some of the staff were a bit off. Others were amazing but definitely a few moody ones which made things a bit unnecessarily awkward at times.
Great location!!
Some of the staff were unhelpful.
The location was brilliant and the staff were lovely.
They gave us a tiny attic room at the very top of the hotel ( because we had a dog)
It was the hottest few days of the year and we were stifling. Due to health and safety the window would only open a couple of inches. There was no air conditioning and we only had a small fan.
My husband couldn’t get out of bed without ducking his head to avoid the ceiling.
Close to the lake. Room was spacious but smells musty from the carpets. We came during the heatwave. It was hot but the room had a fan. There was sufficient parking in the lots.
The directions on where to check in. We had to walk around the premises to find out later that the checkin counter was in the bar. We had to check out early but there were no instructions on where to leave the key. We called the night manager but he did not answer. We eventually left the key in the unlocked room.
Location is perfect, breakfast nice, staff very nice.
Small rooms, food available in the bar a restaurant was pretty ordinary pub food, very little ‘Healthy Easting’ options. Too much fatty greasy food. Advise eating out.
Nice view of the lake
The situation of the Superior ha ha room, across a main road from the main building overlooking a car park! Having to go up a few steps for cooked breakfast down stairs for cereals, cold drinks. Room not cleaned, was reported but again the next day wasn't cleaned. no fridge in room no fan admittedly it was a very warm week.
The location, cleanness.
The staff at the main bar I don't know her name she was one of the rudest.
We struggled to find the reception as there are no signs to lead us in the check in time.
The breakfast is not tasty at all, very limited options not enjoyable at all.
No lift, we have a baby stroller and we struggled a lot with that, I would have appreciated if they fulfilled the request since I have already mentioned about the stroller and an accessible room would be of help, ground floor one for example.
No fridge in the room which is inconvenient, no phone in the room to help in calling the reception, you need to go to the main bar for that purpose.
Room and location was brilliant and breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from
Our room was at the top of the building and no lift my wife had a knee replacement 12 months ago and struggled a bit with the stairs but managed
The accommodation was in an excellent location
Nothing
Location, clean and friendly staff
No fridge in the room, and road traffic.
Location great, good breakfast, nice room.
Food in the restaurant ( eve ) overpriced , staff at bar stretched which caused tension with waiting customers, and poor service. Would consider staying here again, but eat and drink elsewhete
The location was amazing, staff were friendly. Breakfast... good quality and choice.
I was disappointed with the room..the net curtain was torn and frayed, the bathroom was not really clean. As a paying customer or someone staying i would have thought there would have been an area where we could order food and drinks rather than having to queue with everyone. Breakfast...if you wanted to sit outside..which on my stay, it was a wonderful sunny morning.. it was a shame there were no trays to take your breakfast, drinks, cutlery etc out with..instead we had to go back and forth. It was a shame tables outside had not been set up for breakfast.
Stayed in a ground floor room which had its own front door with a table and chairs outside. Room was very clean and well appointed (a mini fridge would have been a bonus in the heatwave 🙈😂). Had an evening meal and drinks at the pub part of the hotel across the road - the beer garden fronts right onto Lake Windermere. Food was good, as was the included breakfast offer. The option of some fruit with breakfast would be a lovely addition - everything else was great
