Perfect but ....You can't please everyone

The sThe staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and they always had a smile on their faces. The check in process was quick and easy, and any questions or requests were dealt with promptly.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient for what I needed. Overall, it was great value for money, and I would happily stay here again.taff was very welcoming

Cons:

People are treating the staff badly while expecting a five star experience. It's very obvious that this is an older building, and with that comes age related issues. The staff address any problems very quickly and do their best to help.

All I can say is that if you want a luxury experience, be prepared to pay luxury prices. Beggars can't be choosers.

Served a purpose
Pros:

Very basic and needing tlc as all Britannia hotels do. Staff were great. Hotel served our purpose as somewhere to stay after a function close by. Wouldn't go there for any special occasion.

I have stayed here lots of times and I have never stayed in such a small room .you couldn’t walk round the side of the bed I had to store the suitcase and trolley in the bathroom,and there was only one bedside table due to the room

Pros:

I had a great time in Southport exploring. My room was so spacious and the bed so comfy. The receptionist was warm and friendly and very welcoming. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

I’d definitely stay here again weather it’s with my girlfriend or with my sister
Pros:

The room was comfortable staff where very helpful and friendly especially when my girlfriend who had special needs had thought she lost her wallet with her bus pass for us to get home and with the key for the room I explained to the receptionist and she was very understanding saying she hopes she finds it and there’s no deposit to pay if the key is lost when we got back to the room her wallet was there on the bed the receptionist was really understanding

Will never book again
Pros:

Cons:

The receptionist when we got there totally ignored us for at least 15 mins. Then we went to our nominated room and it smelt really bad of cannabis. We went back to reception and spoke to a different member of staff and asked could we move hotels as it was dirty , smelly and some of the staff were ignoring us

2 night stay with 13yr old daughter
Pros:

Staff were friendly, hotel room was small and basic but clean and beds were comfortable. Evening entertainment on day 1 of our stay was enjoyable. Bathroom was small, but clean.

Cons:

Window would not close and we were above a nightclub which meant lack of sleep for both myself and my child due to sound of loud music and people singing and shouting coming through the open window until gone 2am, which left us tired during the day. No wifi on smart tv in room. Bathroom very small.
