Ceiling light droooed on my head
good water pressure and nice tea bags and it’s a good area
the windows didn’t open enough and the air flow to the room wasn’t sufficient on a hot day there was also no fan provide it was cooler outside in the 30 degrees heat than in the room because of the lacking ventilation also the curtains on one side did not close making it difficult to sleep in the morning as the sun rises early
The location
Hard pillows on the bed
Love so much we have booked for next year
Nothing loved everything
It was in a good location
Needs updating old fashioned far too hot had to leave after one night
Great location..staff polite..clean..cumfy bed
Bedroom window partially locked and only opens about 2inches...and the glass is bizzarley covered in multicoloured stick on plastic so can't even look out and felt clostaphobic...and room is over looks couple clubs with booming music until 4am...to avoid this noisy side of hotel request a room that doesn't overlook Scarisbrick avenue where the late bars are...
Its location was perfect for the event i was attending.
The property is very run down and feels like the “hotel time forgot”. The condition of the building is a concern as it looks and feels like no attention is now given to this aspect of the hotel. Rooms are adequate but feel very dated. I am from Liverpool so understand Britannia Hotels policy of purchasing period buildings and then offering low standard accommodation, as they have done the same with the Adelphi in Liverpool, and a similar one in Manchester. The breakfast was poor.
Nothing
Housekeeping was poor. Room was downgraded. Waited over an hour for complimentary drinks and over two and a half hours to get from arrival to our second offered (downgraded) room. We had to move the beds together ourselves.
Location
Great location. Loud music outside the bedroom window until the early hours of the morning. I recommend requesting a room away from the noisy streets.
Loud music until the early hours of the morning, the hotel is tired. The paintwork around the external windows has badly deteriorated, the bed legs have been repaired at some stage reflecting trying to save money, and the bathroom floor around the heater pipes needs cleaning.
Central location excellent surroundings services
1. Car park confusing and very tight
2. There was water coming threw the main toilets roof, reported to reception who didn’t call anyone or do anything, had stopped later on
3. Was put in a room only big enough to squeeze a bed, no window at all, did get moved after complaining there was no air flow and 38 degree heat.
4. Poor facility’s and very dated equipment and furniture, lift worked when it wanted to.
5. Key card locked us out and had to get a new one
6. Left a bag in first room reception made us a key card to go back and get it, but said I don’t no if anyone’s in there now so just incase there’s someone in there, it was luckily empty
7. Staff had no knowledge of facilities
8, there was screaming and shouting from another room, reported to reception and she said yer that’s normal here
9, man sleeping in chair In corridor all night, reported several times, again reception just shrugged it off
10, no air conditioning at all rooms unbearable to sleep
11, breakfast- orange juice was off, server told us to just not drink, hair in food, burnt food on buffet, very outdated
Location was good
Reception was a joke.. took too long to book in!
Avenue street next to the hotel.. were late night bars are.. could here the music till 4am
My room was good except that the bath was a bit small for me
Most nights I could here loud music from somewhere very close to my hotel room
