Not knowing that you’re not able to have the uber drop you off directly in front of the hotel. Took a minute to get oriented. The hotel should perhaps give the heads up about that

Street was blocked off in front of the hotel so automobile access to entrance was impossible. Very, very inconvenient for going out on tours. Had to carry luggage outside zone of blocked streets for arrival and leaving hotel to catch transportation.
We had an excellent experience. First of all, the interior with its breath-taking stained glass ceiling and lovely lounges are worth the experience. But it is the staff that made it so special. They exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with a large variety of Mexican and western- style dishes. And the view from the Terraza on the 4th floor with the architectural splendor of the cathedral, the presidential palace and state buildings is unbeatable, especially at night when they’re all illuminated. I highly recommend their shrimp tacos! I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
I love the hotel; my parents took me as a child and this last time I took my old parentes to enjoy the hotel and the neighbourhood.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The restaurant offers stunning views of the Zócalo, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. A special thank you to our driver, Flavio, who was outstanding. He took us to several locations, was always professional and friendly, and even waited for us at some stops, making our sightseeing stress-free and enjoyable. We truly appreciated his exceptional service and highly recommend both the hotel and Flavio.
The staff was great. They answered all my question, and help me with any issue immediately. Will definitely stay here again when I go back to Mexico City.
Unbelievable stay at the Gran Hotel CDMX!
This was my Colombian wife's first time in Mexico City and she absolutely loved it.
The location was spectacular - just steps away from the Zocalo, the Cathedral, Bellas Artes, Mexican Arts & Crafts, and easy Transportation points.
The building is truly breathtaking! It was so impressive to see in person - much more impressive than in photos!
Rooms were great, super clean, and beds extremely comfortable.
Service was also amazing! I specifically remember the service during the World Cup final at the Terraza, where we bought a buffet. Maria, Marcelo, and Vitte were phenomenal and made us feel at home! Food was really good and the view was just perfect!
Loved out stay and cannot wait to be back!

Great location typically but zocalo was blocked off due to protests and world cup preparation. Staff assisted in directions to get around this though.
J aurais aimé être prévenu que la fan zone de la coupe du monde était sur la grand place historique de Mexico et rendait inhabitable la suite réservée avec vue sur cette place. J’ai choisi cet hôtel vieillot en raison de son emplacement et de la vue. Raté !
