Stately home hotel at a great price.
Pros:

Loved the setting and the ambience. The restaurant was very good, with quick service. We enjoyed the grounds, a pleasant walk in the evening.
The room price was very fair.
This was by far the best hotel if you want to visit Beamish.

Cons:

Our only gripe was that the breakfast price was too steep, especially as my wife would only want a piece of toast!

Lovely hotel in a picturesque setting.
Pros:

Great breakfast in a lovely restaurant with friendly staff. The range of food was great, from light breakfast to cooked. The hotel staff are also very friendly. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and everything is very clean with all the amenities needed.

Cons:

The only down part is that the hotel is very old so wasn't made with sound proofing in mind. It is easy to hear the guests in adjoining rooms and walking down the corridors, meaning it can be a slight challenge to sleep early.

Excellent stay - fully recommended
Pros:

The Hall is beautiful - full of history and has been excellently preserved in all it's glory. The very large room was lovely with a 4-poster bed. Breakfast was great with a good choice of buffet and freshly cooked to order.
The gardens are amazing and worth staying here for these alone!

Cons:

The room was bit hot and could really have done with air conditioning. For safety reasons the single window would only open a little way.
A fridge would have been appreciated!
