We would and should have chosen a different hotel, as the walk up into the town was rather strenuous for us two oldies.

The breakfast selection was very good, staff were good.

We were a little disappointed, we thought it was going to be a part of the Relais hotel chain we had stayed in Bruges, obviously it wasn’t. The bedroom was basic, the shower in the bath was not in an easy place, we had to hold on to the shower rail with one hand and wash with the other. The tea and coffee facilities were poor, tea and coffee doesn’t taste very nice coming out of cardboard ( with two tiny wafer and not replaced the following morning).

Piepkleine badkamer. Kamer ontbraken gemakkelijke stoelen om comfortabel te kunnen zitten.

Amazing views of the hills
Pros:

The hotel is situated close enough to the city centre to walk up. But also far enough that it has calm and peace after a day of exploring and walking. The views from the balcony of our room was spectacular! We paid for parking and it was well worth it.

Praticamente tutto, condivido una recente recensione in cui si fa riferimento al fatto che è a due passi dal Centro che si raggiunge in 5 minuti a piedi.Ottima colazione, camera con vista.

Eigenlijk niks. Wat een verschrikkelijk hotel was dit. Zo erg dat we na één dag vertrokken zijn.. de prijs kwaliteit verhouding is heel ver te zoeken. We waren voor ons verblijf een godsvermogen kwijt, voor het geld dat wij betaald hebben verwacht je een luxe 4-sterren hotel. Dit was helaas alles behalve het geval. De kamers zijn super gedateerd, de airco systemen oud en vies en super luid. Alsof je naast een dieselaggegrator ligt. Het bad/douch is zo klein dat je bij elke beweging wel iets aanstoot of uitzet. Het hotel is mega gehorig waardoor we bijna niet geslapen hadden. Het zwembad is troebel en muf. Nadat we hierover geklaagd hadden en graag ons geld terug wilde hebben ze ons nog een alternatief aangeboden, maar hier hebben wij voor bedankt dit was niet echt beter.

Wat ons nog het meeste verbaasde was hoe dit hotel zoveel goede reviews kan hebben. Dat werd al gauw duidelijk want overal hangen briefjes dat als je een 10 sterren review achterlaat je een cadeaubon krijgt t.w.v. 5,- voor amazon. Je wordt dus door de reviews en fotos behoorlijk misleid...

A beautiful hotel in an excellent location
Pros:

A beautiful hotel with very friendly and welcoming staff. Only a 10 minute walk to the historic centre and 5 minutes to 2 restaurants and a supermarket.
Our balcony looked over the pool and the countryside often surrounding area.

Cons:

The room was only small but it was specified on the listing. You only sleep and shower in it anyway and the balcony made a huge difference

Location is very good. Pleasant rooms downstairs and nice pool area and patio.
Easy to walk into San Gimingiano.
Breakfast offered a comprehensive choice.
Drinks were reasonabley priced.

Cons:

Rooms at the rear of the hotel have no view.
Bathroom a bit cramped and shower very compact. Parking is an extra charge of €15 per day.
