We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Amfora Hvar Grand Beach Resort and would highly recommend it!
The pool area was beautiful, spacious, and overlooked the sea. There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas available during our October stay, and waitstaff were on hand to bring drinks and food right to your chair. Our only disappointment was the pool water, which was surprisingly much colder than the sea! It was so cold we couldn't bring ourselves to get all the way in.
Our room was comfortable and nicely appointed, although a bit tight on space. The beds were comfortable, with large fluffy pillows, quality linens, and plush robes. We also enjoyed having a balcony overlooking the sea. The room included an espresso maker, kettle, and mini fridge stocked with water, soft drinks, beer, wine, and juice. We were initially told that nonalcoholic beverages were complimentary, but later discovered this was limited to two of each per day, with additional drinks costing €4–€5. This could have been communicated more clearly. Room service was also available, which was a nice convenience.
One of the absolute highlights was the included breakfast buffet — one of the best we've ever experienced! The selection was extensive, including a made-to-order omelet and egg station, along with just about anything you could want for breakfast.
The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. We especially appreciated that hotel staff met us at the ferry and transported our luggage to the resort so we didn't have to drag our bags through town.
The resort is about a 15-minute walk from Hvar Town along a gorgeous seaside promenade. We loved the scenic walk, although it was a bit challenging for my husband, who has knee issues. Something to keep in mind if you have mobility limitations.
Overall, we loved our stay at the Amfora! Between the beautiful setting, comfortable accommodations, outstanding breakfast, and wonderful staff, it was a fantastic...
There were only a few small things worth mentioning. The steps leading down to the pool and seaside promenade were a little challenging for my husband due to his knee issues. The beds were slightly firmer than my personal preference, although still comfortable. We also would have appreciated a little more clarity about the complimentary minibar beverages and daily limits. Overall, these were minor details that didn't take away from our wonderful stay!

Facilities need quite a bit of deferred maintenance. AC both towers were down upon arrival. Room air suspect on keeping up. I realize end of season woes

Vzhľadom k tomu, že sme nevedeli anglicky, personál bol neochotný a mali sme problém sa dohovoriť. Je to starší hotel, a aj keď je po rekonštrukcii, všade je veľa schodov a žiadne bezbariérové prístupy. Hotel túto možnosť neuvádza na svojej stránke, že chýba bezbariérový prístup. Starší ľudia majú s týmto počtom schodov problém.
Our room was very claustrophobic. Our view was a tree not a view of the ocean. We thought breakfast and dinner were included, only breakfast was and they did not even try to move us to a better room unless we paid $80 per night so what I bought and what I received was a big difference in price. I need to get my money back because dinner was not included as stated when I booked. The manager didn’t even try to accommodate us so our stay even though the hotel was nice. We did not feel comfortable at all.
O resort tem uma ótima estrutura de piscina, praia do hotel ótima com serviço. Quarto bom , e bem equipado. Cama confortável .
Uma caminhada de 15 min até o centro de Hvar, a cortina não veda a claridade, o banheiro molha muito durante o banho.
Embora tudo excelente- localização, limpeza, instalações, pequeno-almoço- o serviço de quarto (limpeza e arrumação diária do quarto e a simpatia das funcionárias destacou-se. Uma excelente estadia.
