Everything was of a good standard

The breakfast was subpar and the fruit selection they put out was insulting, bruised and mushy fruit. The bathrooms were dirty and had mold on the ceiling.

Unfortunately, there were a number of issues during our stay which significantly affected our experience.

When we first arrived, our room had a strong sewage smell, which was unpleasant and unacceptable. We were moved from room 604 to room 610, but unfortunately the patio door in the new room would not lock and the smell of sewage was also present. This was a serious security concern, particularly as we were told that being on the first floor was “not an issue”. The lock was eventually fixed the following day, but we should never have been expected to stay in a room where the patio door could not be properly secured.

The cleanliness and housekeeping standards were also disappointing. The rooms were not as clean as we expected, and basic supplies were not consistently replenished. We were only given one toilet roll per day, the shower soap was not refilled when it ran out, and there was no drinking water provided in the room when we arrived, it was late and the shops were closed, we were advised to drink the water from the tap. The pillow provided was also extremely small and uncomfortable, we asked for another pillow but only 1 was provided even though there was two of us.

On our final day, we asked for two additional towels and were simply told no, which was very disappointing and made us feel that even basic requests were being treated as an inconvenience.


Overall, there were too many issues with the room, cleanliness, housekeeping, security and customer service for us to feel that the property provided the standard we expected for the price we paid.

As it was dark and raining, we couldn’t see much of the outdoor spaces, but our room turned out to be very spacious in , fact, two separate rooms, both inviting, even though the décor is quite dated. The bathroom especially feels like it needs a bit of an upgrade. The shower is VERY compact; even our 10‑year‑old daughter felt quite tight in it. It’s a shame, because the bathroom itself is spacious, with plenty of room to fit a larger, if not double, shower.
In the morning, we headed to breakfast. The restaurant again felt quite dated, and the tables were all on slightly different levels, even though they were the same type, they were just wonky from age. We wanted to sit outside in the fresh air, but the tables hadn’t been cleaned, and there was NO kitchen or waiting staff in sight to help.
Breakfast was OK, with a decent amount of choice, but don’t expect thrills. The quality was also quite basic, nothing that made us go “wow.” For a one‑night stay, it’s perfect. For anything longer, we’d look elsewhere.

Too far from reception and room and also far for breakfast

Address on booking.com is far from hotel, so you need to find this hotel on the map to come. Breakfast is awful: nothing to eat there, bad scrable eggs, pieces of old meat, the only good was croissants. Coffee was impossible to drink. NO hotel beach. VERY COLD pool without heating. No pool towels. Dirty territory.

In our experience, the condition of the property was unacceptable, the response from management was appalling, and the subsequent refusal to refund us after we were effectively left with no habitable alternative room has made the entire experience even worse.

The best thing that could happen to this hotel is for it to be demolished and rebuilt from scratch.

The grounds, particularly around the rooms are very dilapidated. Would be so amazing if a new owner or something gave the place some love, a lick of paint - it has so much potential. No phone, kettle, coffee maker, fridge or anything in the room.

Nous avons rajouté une nuit quelques jours avant notre arrivée. Par téléphone, la réceptionniste m'a confirmé que nous resterions dans la même chambre. Or quand nous sommes arrivés, la réceptionniste nous a declaré qu'il faudrait rendre la chambre à 10h et qu'il nous serait attribué une autre chambre. Le lendemain, nous avons rendu la chambre comme convenu. Notre future chambre n'étant pas prête ( à priori la réception avait signalé ce changement de chambre à la gouvernante pour que nous ayons notre chambre le plus rapidement, en début d'apres midi), nous avons laissé nos bagages dans un salon sans surveillance et avons profité de la piscine, nous avons pris notre repas sur place puis sommes retournés à la reception en attendant de pouvoir faire notre chek-in. Finalement la chambre a été prête à 16h30 et d'autres clients qui arrivaient, eux en avance, ont pu prendre leur chambre avant 17h qui est l'heure normale du check-in. C'etait incompréhensible pour nous qui étions là depuis la veille au soir ! D'autre part, la salle de sport n'est pas entretenue.
