Excellent location from the station and near York centre. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was tasty and a good variety. The room was lovely, clean and modern and was cleaned daily. Cannot fault my time there and would definitely stay there again.
Everything was great but the only thing I can say is the building itself does not look so nice but when you get inside it was lovely and would definitely stay there again.
Nice central hotel with a nice room & good breakfast
Room a bit of a walk from reception but it didn’t really cause a problem.
The views were beautiful and location was great!
The room was very noisy due to the lift our room was located next to the lift and it was going all night so didn’t get much sleep.
The room needs updating and a good clean
Location was great. Checking in was easy.
Towels and drinks not replinished so had to ask for them.
Stains on the pillow after the room was cleaned.
Very nice hotel and breakfast good too.
Nothing
Breakfast was very good
The breakfast had a good assortment of but was only lukewarm warm
The bedroom was freezing and the electrics kept going off making it difficult have a shower .
Its location was excellent and near every thing
I contacted the property before I arrived and I got them my wife was coeliac and they assured me her dietary needs would be catered for . On our first day at breakfast we were told that the didn’t cater for dietary needs anymore and that was that , if I had known this I wouldn’t have stayed here
It was lovley and staff was lovley
Only 1 hot chocolate in room
It was well located on the banks of the River Ouse.
This is a tired and unloved hotel. My room (505) was poorly maintained. The curtain hung off its track, the air conditioning did not respond to commands, the paint on the bathroom door was badly chipped and the shower and its surround were not clean with fungal growth at its base and around it.
I am unsure for who breakfast was meant. The hotel ‘Restaurant’ did not offer that staple of cornflakes, Weetabix or Rice Krispies. The buffet was not as good as Premier Inn’s but twice the price.
And everything costs extra including £2 to borrow an umbrella.
Central location close to all attractions
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Reception staff very friendly and welcoming
Room with a beautiful view. Very comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Late check out. Fabulous location. Great bar area.
Shower not bath. No concierge so we had to go inside for help with bags. No-one serving in bar at lunchtime when we arrived. Quite expensive at almost 300 pounds per room without breakfast so top end price but not top end experience.
