Stayed here for two nights with our teenage daughter to use two of our platinum elite award nights for a stay-cation (walked to the Perot museum and Ubered over to the DMA - SO convenient!) Having stayed in Ws over the years, it is refreshing to see the W undergoing a bit of a refresh, becoming more like a St. Regis with a modern twist than an edgy nightclub vibe. We stayed in a recently renovated room, which was gorgeous and well-appointed. The hallways and room are dark, but not drab - more soothing and high-end. The artwork is actually nice, the beds are comfortable, and the furniture is inviting. The rain shower feature is *phenomenal* and the full size toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion) made me feel right at home - SO much nicer than the wall-mounted toiletries most hotels are using. A lovely touch!
The room was spacious - even with three, we never felt crowded, the beds are comfortable, the carpet is sumptuously soft, and the hotel was so quiet. We never heard other guests. And our view was impeccable! Lastly, the restaurant downstairs is *outstanding*. *See separate review*
We have already decided to come back. The W is still undergoing reno, but all the changes are for the best. Come and see. You won't regret it.
Elegant and convenient location

Location was ok and common areas were ok.
Too much construction either on floor above or below us. Basic accommodations for a very high price.
The convenience of the arena!
Not much to say negatively
Nice and very comfortable and their cleanliness was good..good for people who have hearing problem
Bathtub shower with weak water pressure. Very slow elevators. Dark room and dark hotel (this is W’s style and it is great if you are 27 years old). Bathroom is open to the room. No sheet curtains, so if you want light you have no privacy.
Excellent location, close to the concert venue we were attending. So many great restaurant choices, and loved the breakfast at the W Hotel. Our room was well appointed and modern and we loved it. The pool area was windy and cold, but stunning, we will be back for a summer staycation!
Valet was $60, not a surprise, but expensive still
We traveled to Dallas for an anniversary weekend and stayed at the W Dallas. We had made plans to attend the NHL game and chose this location because of its close proximity to the arena. We had an early flight arrival and I had reached out in advance about an early check-in and was told they would note the request but couldn’t guarantee it. We were extremely pleased to hear our room was ready when we got to the hotel to drop our luggage several hours before the standard check-in time. Everyone we encountered on the property was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately we were not there long enough to use the spa but it looked very pleasant as well.
Great location, strangest layout i have ever seen. Bathroom shower/sink area only separated from the beds by a curtain! Light from that area when in use lights up the room if someone else is sleeping. Not private at all! Ok if alone but not good if sharing. Also if anyone comes in or out of the room while you are in the shower the can see you. Also no plugs on one side of the bed
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. The greatest benefit was the proximity to American airlines center. It made our attending a concert easy and stress-free.
Well the hotel was clean and comfortable, many of the amenities were visibly old and outdated. It looked like some updates had been made, but the beds were very worn in and most of the furniture in the room had chips and cracks in it.
Very clean and great staff
