As a Hilton Honors Member the room should have been inspected properly!
Pros:

Location was great. I made this trip to visit my grandson and we were only 10 minutes from where he lived.

Cons:

The first room was not properly maintained. Floor was poorly vacuumed, a hole in the lamp shade and the bathroom had hair and mold in the shower. We were moved to another unit, it was better still a little mold in shower. No one ever came to replace our towels or pick up the trash. We had to pick up our own towels from the front desk. I told a young lady that was on the floor we needed a light bulb, she asked the room number but we never received it.

Overall, this place is nice but a little pricey.
Pros:

The breakfast was good. The location was perfect because you were only a few minutes away from Walmart and other shopping places. There were also a lot of food courts around. It was only a couple of minutes away from where my Mom lived.

Cons:

My family and I were very disappointed that the pool wasn't opened.

Don't book a room at Hampton's shabby Chesapeake facility.
Pros:

This Hampton Inn, Chesapeake Square Mall, VA, is a disgrace to the Hilton brand. No housekeeping available for the four days we stayed, July 2 to July 6, 2026. Pipes leaked from under the sink upon entry and puddled on the floor. We reserved a handicapped room but it was treacherous to enter especially for the elderly (us) walking with canes across that puddle. The entry door refused to unlock completely so we pushed and shoved to get in. Curtains were in tatters. The desk promised again and again all would be taken care of. No one ever came. We have stayed at Hampton Inns for about 30 years and now we will seek out another chain.

Pros:

Very nice hotel, very clean inside and out, the breakfast buffet was very large with nice seating. The hotel and rooms smelled very nice and fresh. It was all over a great hotel and great experience, would use again. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The rooms were very nice as well. When you walked in your room you are almost suprised about how nice the room is. It was like a wow monent. I would 10 out of 10 recommend

I can honestly say there wasnt one bad thing about this hotel I experienced my whole trip

Very poor condition poor management
Pros:

This hotel is in poor condition, is not clean. The door to the parking lot is broken so you have to walk all the way around to the front entrance at night. People lawyer in the parking lot all night and their activity is suspicious or dubious at best. I would not recommend this location for children women traveling alone. Rooms need painting, and the bathrooms are worn and nasty looking.
