The hotel is great but don’t let them book you a taxi
Pros:

The property is brilliant, pool area lovely and facilities and rooms excellent

Cons:

Don’t let the hotel staff book you a “fixed price taxi” it will not be fixed it’s just a mate getting a taxi mate a ride. The hotel staff told us they can get a fixed price were and were 2600 lira or 2800 lira if we paid by card, slightly cheaper than UBER. We agreed. The hotel guy and the taxi man clearly knew each other. When we got to the airport the taxi driver tried to charge 4575 lira claimed he knew nothing of a fixed price and got really annoyed and tried to get the Police involved , which I welcomed but “amazingly” he could not find one! We argued and got it for 3475 in the end. It’s a scam to help out mates.

Good standard in bery good location
Pros:

Very polite personel. Asked for a more quiet room as the hotel is on a busy road and soundproofing is not ideal (but sufficient for angood sleep). Good standard hotel. Excellent location on M2 underground - also good access from airport by public transport

Pros:

das Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel, die Lage ideal und das Frühstück ausgezeichnet. Ich war rundum zufrieden und komme gerne wieder.

Cons:

die Bar oben schließt viel zu früh, zudem fehlt die Abstimmung mit der unteren Bar. Enttäuschend.

Nice stay at Ramada Plaza Hotel Istanbul city center
Pros:

Very convenient location. Metro stop right in front of the hotel. Very helpful and polite staff. Spotlessly clean room. Special thanks to our housekeeper on the first floor.

Cons:

Just one little problem before our checkout, no big deal, but we saw a tiny little cockroach (?) in the corner of our bathroom. So may be spray some disinfectant more often?
