Hotel was closed on arrival with sign on door directing you to the other hotel. We paid for a dulux double room where we have stayed numerous times before, as I have sleep, insomnia and partner has sleep apnea. And we find the king's size bed. Actually makes me sleep the best ever. We was given a standard double room with a double bed.As my partner is a very large man , I ended up sleeping on a duvet on the floor whereas I am actually disabled , so was left in an awful lot of pain. There was no fan provided, no toiletries provided\nStaff were just sitting talking to themselves. I would have liked to have been informed of the closure , as I would have chosen a different hotel that would have provided a king sized bed for us. I did contact book in com. And they asked me to contact The Dolphin Hotel direct, which I did. They were very apologetic and sympathetic. The women were anyway, but when it came to the males, I was informed, it was not eligible for a refund. So, now, my partner and I, as we come once a Fortnite, once a week at times I have studied and found another hotel that I would go to instead. The Dolphin Hotel is very run down. Very dirty needs. Painting needs a whole new refurb curtains hanging off walls, dirty walls. But we accepted that as I did have a good sleep but I won't accept it again from you.

We didn’t see the property because it was closed we were moved to the Carlton hotel which was not up to the standard that we booked
The Carlton hotel was filthy run down the room was small curtains hanging down carpet was ripped cracks in bathroom tiles and mirror we have been chasing a refund from yourselves because we had to go to a different staff at the hotel we’re not helpful they offered us a room on the 3 floor which was not suitable we found out this company who owns these hotels are advertising on booking.com but 3 of them are closed so there sending everyone to the Carlton hotel which is not to the standard you are advertising so I would be grateful if you could reply to this email and refund the money to my bank or I will be taking legal advice because of the false advertising thankyou Colin bell
Location is ok opposite Wellington pier
The Dolphin is shut down, it's been shut for a while. It was an OK hotel a couple of years ago. Everyone was moved to the Carlton Hotel which stinks and is a mess. IT s pure bait and switch, they are still pulling this scam and Booking.com need to take action.
Rude staff, stole my deposit for basic usage of the room it is hotwl job to clean
