I will not be returning as the hotel is stuck in the past
Pros:

The hotels location is good for travelers to the area and suited my needs. There is plenty of parking for guests. The check in at the reception was quick allowing me to get to my room quickly.

Cons:

The service in the restaurant was terrible and ended up i had to leave to exit the hotel to get my dinner. The food selection for dinner was very poor with a limited menu which was restricted even more by many dishes being unavailable.
The hotel is very dated, and needs cleaned up with the furnishings and bathrooms showing dirt and grime as a result of many years of use.

Ok apart from very hard bed and mixed breakfast.
Pros:

Bacon was nicely cooked. Staff friendly.

Cons:

No marmalade. Coffee was only lukewarm. Eggs were not fresh because the albumen (the white) was flat and spread all over the plate. Yolk was not orange but very pale.

The futuristic Transformation
Pros:

The new& environmentally interesting design which will be seen in 2027/28.
The very smart and extremely well educated Director Kalid! Great guy!

Cons:

The tired loveless style. Not worth to make any photo at all!

Lovely staff, VERY comfy beds, nice quiet location
Pros:

Nice large rooms with a small table and seating area too. Bed was large and SUPER comfortable! Good shower, always a bonus when the mirror has the anti steam aspect to it, very handy. Solaiman was so lovely, checked us in very quickly and really looked after us on both Friday and Saturday evening in the bar/restaurant.

Cons:

I'm afraid the food was very disappointing. We had dinner on Friday night and my pasta was completely tasteless. The penne so overdone that it was mushy and falling to pieces. Mum said her chicken burger was "OK". Her Cajun fries were very nice though.

Staff would make be happy to go back but not till it’s been decorated and cleaned with better basic facilities
Pros:

Staff were the best thing. I have nothing negative to say about the staff.

Cons:

Considering the price I paid I was surprised how dated and basic things were.
Bedside light switches too far away from beds so needed to get out to turn them on/off
Popcorn on the floor near the bed, carpets look like to need cleaning.
No fridge, spoons near kettle were dirty.
2 sachets of cheap coffee. No tea bags. No bottled water.
Carpet for skirting boards - looked a bit yucky. Net curtains were dirty
Windows were dirty
I stopped looking as had to stay - sometimes better not knowing.
Iron but no ironing board
Breakfast was good but all the fancy options weren’t available.

Breakfast was rather under welcoming. Full English breakfast, 1 sausage, 1 bacon, 1 egg, not substantial enough for the money.

Would not stay here again, very disappointed.
Cons:

On arrival there was no staff, it took about 20minutes for someone to come to reception. The lady tried to help us book in but clearly not her job. The bar was very depleted as no wine available, the poor lady on reception also helped in the bar. The noise throughout the night from plumbing issues kept us awake, really awful noises coming from the bathroom.
Would not want to stay here again. Very disappointing!!!
