Overall not a bad hotel, just a little "Tired" - pretty clean throughout and the staff were good especially at dinner. Dinner was good, breakfast just "OK" - definitely a three star hotel... Would stay there again as its close to work and would be ok for a few days

Stiffeling hot and airless bedroom with ineffective fan!
Food was not upto expected standard
Data and sharma were very welcoming and helpful. The room was nice and bigger than i was expecting. Location was great, out the way so it was nice and quiet. I love the old and characteristic type hotels so i was very happy, however i imagine for others they wont be happy with it, as it always is the case.
Not enough air flow to allow cold winds in, was very hot and humid in the room, it did occasional smell bad from the toilet however that would be the actual pipes causing the issue and would be hard to deal with considering how old the place is.
It was just perfect…

Parking was plentiful and free. Staff worked very hard in difficult conditions and were very welcoming and sweet to our little dogs. Hotel was very dog friendly apart from the £20 per night extra charge
No air conditioning in room but there was a fan.
No beer on tap very few wine choices.
Breakfast in the first day was poor but we were refunded for that the rest of the breakfast were average- no orange juice very few pastries short on basics
the evening meal choices were nonexistent. The Kitchen was out of everything apart from basic pasta. In the end we ordered an Uber eats two out of the three nights as we were no where near any other restaurants
This is our second stay and it was disappointing. It has the feel of a hotel about to shut down and saving money at any point it can. I feel sorry for the staff members who had a proper ear bending from many customers for the lack of facilities- something that was not their fault
The property was fairy clean
Tired and required updating. Toilet in room did not operate correctly. Constantly ran out of foods, waiting exceptionally long time for breakfast. Younger staff not trained in hospitality. Told by young staff that they could not take Scottish pound notes as it was not legal tender ! Bit of a Faulty Towers!

Room for wasn’t ready at time of confirmed check in.
Poor range of drinks available at bar (no draft beers).
Room looked tired and in need of total refurbished. No A/c, mattress uncomfortable resulting in poor nights sleep. Only one member of staff who seemed to want to help! Breakfast poor.
In normal circumstances I'd say it's a perfectly reasonable place to stay for the money. The reason I'd give this -1 if I could was because a member of the hotel management team was using the room next door for a phone call. They were very loud and the conversation was easy to hear through the connecting door. Main problem was the conversation started about 22:30 and kept me awake until 01:30am at which point I had to shout at them to tell them to pack it in (which they did).
I have previously stayed here about 1 month before with no problems.
Having written all of the above I doubt anyone is going to read this anyway.

Doors bang all through the night need to change the way the doors close

Tired room with 1 flat pillow each provided.
Toilet didn’t flush properly and ‘gurgled’ all night.
No air con, fan provided but didn’t work.
TV remote didn’t work.
Windows had bird poo on them and cobwebs on windowsill.
Bathroom old and Lino yellow around toilet and very sticky!
Garden needs a tidy.
Limited breakfast choice.
Receptionist was on a break when we turned up and no one else could help us check in.
There are plans in reception detailing an upgrade. The hotel has a lot of potential, just needs some love!
