Will stay again!
Pros:

The proximity to the beach, the big room, being close to really good food/bar spots

Cons:

Not much, but I wish I had gotten a higher floor (I was right in front of the generators/AC machines) so killed my view and hearing the waves. But I was only there for one night so it was okay for that

Didn’t stay at this hotel.
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel for our first trip to Virginia Beach 2 years ago and we loved it. We got a suite room and it was very comfortable for my family of 4. So this year we booked again. I had called 3 days before our trip to confirm everything and add on another person for our stay and everything was confirmed. We get to the hotel to check in and were told that we were overbooked and were getting sent to a different hotel across the street. None of my questions were answered. I was handed a mangers card and that was it. We got sent to the Hampton Inn. When I walk in to check in the ladies at the front desk were very busy. Thankfully they were able to help answer some of my questions. They were very kind despite them being overwhelmed. The hotel itself was very nice and clean. Rooms were beautiful. Staff were very friendly and always kind. I would definitely recommend the Hampton Inn.
We were not very happy with Surfbreak this year . A phone call would’ve been nice as a heads up. We drove 10 hours there to be told we couldn’t stay there. Not sure if we will book there again.

Cons:

We got overbooked and had to be sent to another hotel with no questions answered.

With a little work they could earn more stars but they aren’t ready for prime time yet.
Pros:

The hotel has amazing views and the beds were ok. Staff was ok.

Cons:

The drains in the tub and sink wouldn’t stay up brushing your teeth and taking a shower you’d have to let the water out. The halls and lobby were hot and had an odor. No floor towel was provided and floors were slippery. Safe didn’t work. Ice machine on 5 different floors didn’t work, I just stopped looking after that. Parking lot in front of hotel hard to navigate due to traffic. The hotel has amazing views but they have some work to do to raise the star rating!

Don't expect much.
Pros:

Staff was friendly and helpful and the location was good.

Cons:

The rooms are outdated. The TV stand needed to be replaced, it was all rotten across the bottom and they put pieces of wood to try and level it up and the bed platform was also starting to rot, not sure if the room might of flooded or not. All of the wall outlets are loose in the walls. The sink was leaking and advised the front desk and it was taken apart and put back together and they left dirty/black residue in the sink without washing it out then it started leaking again 2 days later. They ran out of coffee for your room so every morning you had to go to the lobby to get coffee which one day they completely ran out. Room service couldn't keep up with the towels and wash clothes and we had to ask for them on four separate occasions.
