Positiv hervorzuheben ist die Größe des Zimmers. Es bot ausreichend Platz, um zwei große Koffer problemlos geöffnet unterzubringen, ohne dass die Bewegungsfreiheit eingeschränkt wurde. Insgesamt machten sowohl das Zimmer als auch das Badezimmer einen sauberen Eindruck. Lediglich an einigen Stellen im Bereich der Fensterrahmen war etwas Staub sichtbar, was den ansonsten positiven Gesamteindruck jedoch nur geringfügig beeinträchtigte.

Sehr angenehm war zudem die zentrale Lage des Hotels. Zahlreiche Restaurants, Bars und weitere Ausgehmöglichkeiten befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe und sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar.

Auch die Parksituation war für uns äußerst komfortabel. Zwar verfügt das Hotel offenbar nur über eine begrenzte Anzahl eigener Stellplätze, jedoch befinden sich in wenigen Gehminuten Entfernung zwei große, kostenfreie Parkplätze. Dadurch mussten wir während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts nie Zeit mit der Parkplatzsuche verbringen.

Cons:

Der größte Kritikpunkt war für uns das Badezimmer, das insgesamt einen deutlich in die Jahre gekommenen Eindruck vermittelt. Das Waschbecken weist zahlreiche Haarrisse auf, die Toilettenbrille ist durch starke Abnutzung mittlerweile eher grau als weiß und auch die Duscharmatur konnte nicht überzeugen. Der Wasserdruck war schwach und schwankte teilweise erheblich. Zudem veränderte sich die Wassertemperatur spürbar, beispielsweise wenn in einem anderen Zimmer die Toilettenspülung betätigt wurde. Auch der bereitgestellte Haartrockner wirkte stark abgenutzt und war offensichtlich mit Klebeband repariert.

Aus hygienischer Sicht erscheint die Positionierung der Handtuchhalterungen ungünstig. Diese befinden sich direkt neben der Toilette oberhalb der Toilettenbürste. Eine Anbringung an der Badezimmertür oder an einer anderen Stelle wäre aus unserer Sicht deutlich sinnvoller.

Darüber hinaus sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Gespräche aus den Nachbarzimmern waren problemlos verständlich, was die Privatsphäre und Nachtruhe beeinträchtigte.

Verbesserungsbedarf besteht auch bei den Steckdosen. Zwar befinden sich auf beiden Seiten des Bettes Steckdosen, diese werden jedoch bereits durch die Nachttischlampen belegt. Da keine separate Deckenbeleuchtung vorhanden ist, konnten diese praktisch nicht genutzt werden, ohne auf die Beleuchtung zu verzichten. Weitere Steckdosen befinden sich lediglich im Bereich des Fernsehers beziehungsweise an der Treppe. Das Laden mehrerer Geräte, insbesondere über Nacht, gestaltet sich dadurch unnötig umständlich.

Die Klimaanlage wird zentral gesteuert und lässt sich nicht individuell regulieren. Dadurch wurde das Zimmer zeitweise als zu warm und stickig empfunden. Das Öffnen der Fenster stellte insbesondere am Abend keine optimale Alternative dar, da die Straße aufgrund der sehr zentralen Lage des Hotels stark belebt ist und dadurch ein erhöhter Geräuschpegel entsteht.

Auch das Frühstück konnte nicht vollständig überzeugen.

Excelente localização em Ponta Delgada. Bom hotel.
Pros:

A localização era excelente. Rapidinho estávamos no centro de Ponta Delgada. O banheiro era espaçoso e o chuveiro era muito bom. Ficamos no último andar e a varanda do quarto era bem espaçosa. O café da manhã era bom, mas sempre as mesmas opções. Seria interessante que houvesse pequenas variações para que não ficasse tão monótono.

Cons:

O colchão era um pouco mais duro do que o esperado, então muitas vezes acordávamos durante a noite para nos movimentar, senão com certeza acordaríamos com dor nas costas. Ao final de 10 dias acabamos acostumando, mas vale a pena considerar esta opção.
