Despite a bit of a hiccup in service in the restaurant for dinner, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The hotel building was historic and a lovely setting. The staff were very friendly and the room was good.

Cons:

We ate at the hotel restaurant and the service was very slow. We were told by the head waiter that the restaurant was a seperate business to the hotel and was not very receptive to our complaints. When we made a complaint to the hotel manager he told us the restaurant had acknowledged they had had a problem with service the night before. The hotel manager apologised and gave us a gift. That was very considerate and appreciated.

Cons:

Hotel when we stayed very quiet appeared to be no one else staying we were the only ones in the restaurant for dinner so felt a bit awkward. Air con in room noisy.

Pool was a nice touch with the scenery around

Only issue we had was nothing local around.
No grocery shops or little stalls for basics
We did go to little shop across the road but barely had any supplies

A pousada apresenta já sinais de degradação, nomeadamente nos móveis e em especial nos estofados dos sofás e cadeiras que estão surrados e muitos deles nas bordas já demasiado sujos. Já tive o gosto de me hospedar em muitas outras Pousadas de Portugal e esta é, sem dúvida, a que mais necessita de uma renovação. Outro aspeto que nos desagradou por completo foi o check in apenas ser possível a partir das 16h00 e o check out às 11h00. uma vez mais, é o único estabelecimento hoteleiro no grupo das Pousadas de Portugal que o faz - o que acho lamentável.

também faria uma pareceria com algum produtor de vinho regional para fazer uma garrafas pequenas e oferecer aos hospedes fazendo publicidade - por exemplo adega coop VCA
