Very close to train and bus stations - within walking distance. Also close to restaurants. Very nice area.
Room very very small, bathroom door didn't close properly. Room for 3 people is very small and crowded and can barely walk around without hitting each other or furniture. Overly expensive for such a small crowded room.
The room was okay, not what we expected from the photographs of the rooms. The hotel was a 6 minute walk from the theatre we were going to for a show which was the main point. The bed was at least comfortable with clean bedding and there was a small fridge in the room.
We had a one night stop over for a show we were attending so it served it purpose for somewhere to shower, sleep and get changed, but would have likely booked into somewhere else if it was for longer.
Didn't like the fact that it took up to 10 minutes for the hot water to start running through, had to run the water in advance of using the shower or sink.
There was black mouldy bits around the shower, sink, pipework and toilet, the sink drainer looked a bit grubby as well.
The sliding toilet/shower door didn't close properly so left a 1 1/2 inch gap of the toilet, this was directly opposite the double bed.
When we arrived the TV bracket was hanging off the wall and the TV itself was just jammed against the wall so unusable, guessing that was a previous customer who decided not to mention it
Like everything about the Hotel. Receptionist was really pleasant. Room was so clean. Bedding was clean and tidy. No noise from other guests. A great place and would return
Nothing to report
Overall, I liked the neighborhood. The surroundings and buildings look nice from the outside. Many places can be reached via Victoria in 10 minutes. It's also a quiet and peaceful location. If you go a little south and west, you can find yourself among the locals.
The fact that it's a hotel converted from an old house, the lack of an elevator, and the absence of private bathrooms and toilets in the rooms are all negative points. Also, the appliances, lamps, etc. in the rooms are very old.
It served a purpose after our other absolute diabolical slum had a water leak from another rooms shower into ours. All our electric went off and they expected us to stay there.
Do not like the non existent customer care from Booking.com they should be ashamed of themselves for allowing such a hotel to be on their site.
The location was good for where I was working
The cold water in every room and loo was turned off. The stopcock under the sink turned, but nothing happened - it seems all cold water is off.
I didn’t try from the shower - but the cold water there is normally from a tank in the roof, so might not be got to drink.
I asked to fill my water bottle, and the man at reception did so. If I was not from this country I might not know that it is ILLEGAL to have a hostelry not provide FREE drinking water from the tap (or elsewhere) and would have been persuaded to buy some from reception.
Friendly and helpful staff, convenient, airy and clean.
Layout a little confusing!
El baño es un desastre, tan chico que no entras
Location perfect. Close to a station and coffee shops and groceries. Comfortable enough for a night or 2.
My bedroom doors were difficult to open. Shower wasn't the cleanest.
