Stay away or be disappointed.
Pros:

It was a great location because it's right on the beach and on the main strip of South Atlantic. The check-in staff was friendly and . The cleaning staff was friendly, but only gave us clean towels daily. The room is dirty and damp. The carpets were filthy and wet. The dressers had constant condensation on them, the AC did work, the doors did not open or close well. I was afraid my friend was going to bust his shoulder, trying to get the doors open. Has to be the dirtiest place we ever stayed. The pool was dirty, cloudy constantly. The owner can say it was just a temporary thing, but if you look at the reviews, many say same thing. We ended up here through Spinnaker trying to sell timeshare.

The staff was friendly

The building is extremely old , the pictures on the website are nothing like the reality. The locks of the doors in my room and my friend’s room did not work. At night I did used a chair and the iron board to secure the door from inside.
The room had a smell, the safe box was rusted , the bathtub have rust stains, the carpet looked old and dirty . The sheets,I can’t promise they were clean. The pillows were definitely not clean. .
The water in the pool looked dirty “cloudy “. Also was cold 🥶 very cold .
The problem is that when you book online , there are not refunds and the reviews (at least the ones that I read did not mentioned any of these issues and the pictures are completely fake . And the price was not exactly cheap . So disappointing ☹️☹️☹️

AMAZING Anniversary Weekend at the El Caribe!!
Pros:

Jenean really outdid herself in giving us an amazing stay for our anniversary!! She put us up in a 7th floor suite, which was unbelievably nice. My wife and I were floored when we walked into the suite. Jenean, thank you so much for taking such good care of us!!! Eric & Susan

If not for Laura, it would be a 2 star at best.
Pros:

This 5 star review is for Laura. She was super helpful and accommodating. She is definitely the kind of employee I'd want working for me. As a former front desk manager, I'd hire her on the spot.

Hotel definitely needed an update. Definitely paid for the beach view though. Can't imagine it would be that expensive paying for room quality.

Great Stay!
Pros:

Everyone was very professional, helpful, and courteous . Vicky, Wanda, Lester, Lisa front desk. Ron and Austin in maintenance. April our housekeeper. All were super nice and accommodating. Our room was old, but comfortable and suited to our needs. I had a service animal and it was the perfect setup for us. Thanks Again!

Fantastic dance experience at El Caribe
Pros:

My wife and I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at El Caribe. We were with a group of international folk dancers who were celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary. Everything went very smoothly. The reception desk had our group check-in better organized than any other hotel our group has used. Our room (on the fifth floor) had a magnificent view of the sunrise. The room was clean, everything worked as expected. The reception and housekeeping staff were very courteous and efficient. I can't comment on the breakfast as we brought our own which we enjoyed on the balcony. The dance room had a good view of the ocean. All in all, one of the nicest motel stays we've had in quite a while. Thank you to both the staff and management, and to our group leaders who chose such a nice venue for our weekend event.

Enjoyable and Relaxing
Pros:

The Staff was amazing! Lisa in the front desk was extremely helpful. Thank you Lisa. The lady at the breakfast area was also incredible. I believe for the price it was an amazing value. The ocean was at our reach. Loved the Hotel. Thank you!

Cons:

I didn't like that the Daytona Beach has a lot of current. It made it difficult to enter the water due to excessive waves and rip current.

Wonderful Stay At El Caribe!
Pros:

We had a lovely stay at El Caribe during the first week of April. The property's location is excellent, and while the grocery store across the street was under construction, we found the nearby Publix very convenient.

The rooms were clean, and we especially appreciated the comfortable beds and ample pillows. We also noticed that the rooms were cleaned daily and that the exterior of the building is being continuously updated.

Additionally, the reception staff made check-in and check-out very easy; they were all professional and friendly. We also enjoyed having access to the charcoal BBQs on the property.

Though the breakfast was only continental, it's was great! Good coffee and the area was always clean and presentable.

I would like to offer two suggestions for improvement:

1. It would be beneficial to have the BBQs cleaned daily.
2. Although our room was large enough for four people, the cutlery provided was only sufficient for two.

Pros:

Staff is great location and price. We have stay here for 5 years. Meet few that has been coming for 20yrs 16yrs. Wonderful amazing staff.

Cons:

Breakfast cut off at. 9.30am. Lol
Can't say enough about this place.
