The hotel was the perfect location. Using circuit to get around was perfect.

A gem on Catalina!
Pros:

Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely - continental plus with a great selection of pastries, breads, fruit, yogurt, eggs.
We also enjoyed sunset on the rooftop with some wine and cheese purchased from the nearby Von's (recommended by the staff)

Cons:

honestly nothing - everyone was very helpful and friendly, the rooms were comfortable with a very spacious bathroom, amenities were spot on, and it was just enough off the main drag to be quiet, but close to the action

Pros:

Breakfast. Slightly dated. Boyfriend kept hurting and jamming his fingers while holding the rail to climb the stairs to climb to our 2nd floor room. A bit of a hazard since no lift offered.

Cons:

No view. A little farther to walk hauling luggage.

We recently stayed at the Avalon Hotel on Catalina Island for a short but delightful getaway. Overall, it was a charming boutique experience. The room was spotless, the location was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
We’d definitely recommend it, and we’re looking forward to returning!

Cons:

We do have a couple of minor suggestions for improvement: the shower water pressure could be a bit stronger, and the breakfast could benefit from a bit more variety—maybe adding some fresh vegetables or a few extra options. But these are just small notes on an otherwise wonderful stay.
