Boulder Twin Lakes Inn is a hidden gem tucked back into a quiet and established neighborhood with plenty of mature green trees (this time of year). My wife and I needed to be in Gunbarrel the next morning so the location was perfect for us. The room was freshened up with a new vanity and wardrobe/armoire, while the other furniture was broken in and comfortable (especially the beds, we both slept wonderfully!). Plenty of hot water for a morning shower. Internet was relatively fast and dependable so we could get some work done. I liked that everything was mostly self service, including check in. While it's an older property, it's clear that someone is caring for it and working to improve it. It's a great value and we'll definitely return!
The room could use some sheers or blinds instead of single blackout curtains- we were on the ground floor so a little privacy while letting light in would have been nice (we had a random kid peeking in our windows). It was an unusually humid day and the room did smell slightly stale. There was a sign for a hot tub but it looked like the water hadn't been changed in months, which seemed like a small oversight considering how well-kept the rest of the property was.
It is a great little place. The room was very spacious and exceptionally clean. They also had nice toiletries.
The spaces outside the rooms were a little warm, but that’s acceptable.

Easy access, quiet and plenty of amenities
I liked the large room. I liked that there were laundry facilities.
Even though I checked in online, my key was not ready when I arrived and my request for a ground floor room was not honored until I pointed out that I had requested it. Then the change was made, but I had to wait for the flustered desk cleark to go check that a room was actually ready. Staff was not availaable in evenng hours.
The laundry facilities were in a cramped space and the washer leaked on the floor.
We loved the coziness and comfort in the hotel. It was just nice to come back after day of hiking and chill. Location is lovely, and everyone has been so nice! We will be back.

Large room, easy parking in quite residential area with nice walking paths. Good breakfast for the price.
