Tudo foi excepcional
Gostei de tudo
Excellent location for a countryside retreat. Spa facilities were excellent.
Nothing
It was nice
Paid a lot of money for a suite and could not close the blinds there was no curtains so got woke up at daylight as the room was so bright reported it to reception and they just said they would say to the manager and I never heard anything back from them
We used the spa which was quiet, serene, excellent views and had lots of elements. The outdoor hot tub & sauna had beautiful views
Struttura pulita e riservata
Per il prezzo che si paga, la Spa dovrebbe essere inclusa
Lovely rooms and restaurants
The fact that as residents were werent allowed to use spa until a night time due to spa packages after paying nearly 800 pound for 3 nights was shocking so we never got to use the spa which was the main purpose of booking this hotel and also the fact that we would have had to pay 25 pp to use it
We had a wonderful DBB overnight! Had the spa booked for a 2 hr slot on arrival, before dinner. It was very nice, especially enjoyed the hot tub and cold plunges as well as relaxing in the indoor pools. It's a bit unfortunate that you couldn't throw water on the stoves in either of the saunas, that would have been a big plus for us. The spa bar was lovely and the setting and views just gorgeous. Dinner at the Vista restaurant was exceptionally good, what an amazing chef the place has! The venison dish was honestly one of the best things I've eaten in a long time, and again, the views were great. We had a classic room which I was really impressed with; high ceilings and a skylight window (bring an eye-mask if the light bothers you!), huge big windows with a great view over the Clyde estuary and gardens. The bed was large and comfortable. Pillows a bit questionable but the room was spacious and the bathroom was clean and nice too, if a little on the small side. Breakfast in the morning was very tasty as well! There was a wedding on and we could hear it but it wasn't disturbing us and anyway finishes at midnight so it's reasonable to expect that. All in all a really nice stay for my husband's birthday, hope to come back one day soon.
Booked for 2 nights stayed for 1 £595 for 2 nights, and you had to pay £25 per head for a swim joke. The trek to the room was not good if you have mobility issues no lifts too many stairs. Cleanliness was not good had to ask for new pillows they were disgusting, they promptly changed them 😒 rooms need updating no fridge and the dust was awful need to get house keeping to check all high levels and towel rails , top of shower was filthy. The breakfast was average continental selection was lacking , full breakfast was luke warm not good. Will not be returning didn't enjoy stay.
Excellent spa and treatments at suitable prices. Very nice room.
Sad that the main house was uninvolved in the hotel experience. The restaurant food was disappointing - we were aware of three dishes being returned to the kitchen and our own main courses were lacking in flavour. A bar is necessary for pre and post dinner drinks - there was no one around so the atmosphere in general suffered. Our dinner was also disturbed by the setting of breakfast tables
Such a disappointment. Where to start??
I don't think I've ever come across a hotel which not only severely restricts the times that guests can use the swimming pool, but then asks them to pay £25pp (per day) for the privilege of using it.
Let that settle in - if you're a couple staying for three days, you're looking at a £150 bill to have a quick dip before breakfast (you can't go after breakfast, that's not allowed).
I'll absolutely accept that this policy is buried in the t's & c's - that's not the issue. The issue is the insanity of relegating your hotel guests to the status of second class citizens (to Spa guests).
Upon discovering our lowly rank, we opted instead to get room service and watch a movie in our room.
"Yes, we can bring your food to your room - but there's a £7.50 charge" - wait, what? A £7.50 flat charge to take £20 worth of food the 30 metre walk to our room? Again, a totally unprecedented policy, even in the fanciest hotels I've stayed in.
But ... at least we could watch a film in the room.
Nope, we couldn't - because for the duration of our stay the wifi was down.
Staff (including the Manager) were unhelpful throughout - I sensed that the pool and room service complaints were common, and that they'd given-up on any attempt to try to sound contrite.
It's such a shame because the property itself was lovely, as was the food - but they need to take a long, hard look at their policies, because at nearly £300 for a Standard Room, any customer has the right to expect way, way more from a Hotel.
Il campo da golf.
Manca il bidet nel bagno.
I would highly recommend staying at the Gleddoch resort. My husband and I had a fantastic weekend there, everything was to a very high standard. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and every single staff member we met was lovely. Our room was beautiful and exceptionally clean, all our meals were delicious and we enjoyed a relaxing day at the spa. It is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Thank you to everyone at Gleddoch, we will definitely be back!
Great spa day with lovely facilities and staff.
We had a couple of nights at this place and it was good.
Food was very tasty, steak pie and chips had a little bit too much salt but may be okay for some people.
Staff were excellent and no fault can be said there as they were lovely and helpful.
Spa was good, maybe would have liked a room before spa where guests could be out of area where reception so we weren’t in ropes at reception.
Spa services provided were excellent though.
Cleanliness was excellent.
As for value for money it’s hard to judge as we stayed while there was the commonwealth games on and a ladies golf event nearby so may have been elevated.
On a personal note I maybe would of liked the spa facilities to be provided free of charge for guests who book through the hotel directly as even though £25 for two hours is still okay I didn’t see the value paying that having used the facilities having booked a spa treatment and got a hour with spa booking.
Overall though nice experience and hope this is positive feedback which can help all parties.
