Pros:

Excellent staff who were always warm and friendly, nothing was too much to ask. Exceptionally clean, including the pool and leisure facilities which were excellent.

Cons:

The spa treatment (massage) requires some improvement - staff were lovely but no explanation or engagement about what the treatment would entail, nobody around when we arrived, no communication from the masseuse during or after the procedure.

An otherwise good stay soured by an appalling restaurant experience
Pros:

Nice big rooms and good location. Excellent concierge. Lovely garden area.

Cons:

Awful restaurant experience that soured the trip. Very poor service and unprofessional staff. Rooms are a bit tired

fantastic hotel and staff but too much noise from outside.
Pros:

the room was fantastic as were the facilities. the staff in kitchen were great and ensured I had nutritious vegan breakfast each morning. the swimming pool and spa area is very peaceful an impressive. for health reasons I was unable to use it more than once.

Cons:

However, the soundproofing in the room is poor therefore you can hear people talking outside (noisy on Friday and Sat night) and also there is a gym next door and so you hear the classes with loud music. it is only for the soundproofing that I have marked this down. The restaurant is overpriced and very little vegan options.

Magnificent hotel, warmly welcomed by a fantastic team.
Pros:

Beautifully decorated, comfortable public spaces, lovely central courtyard garden, very helpful and friendly staff, superb, huge room with the most comfortable bed, and lounge chairs with a pleasant street outlook, lots of storage, adjustable and effective aircon. Restaurant food of a high standard, inventive and delicious, again with exceptional service. Location is perfect for exploring the city centre and a pleasant stroll to the Calatrava complex plus easy to navigate to if driving.

Luxury in a cosmopolitan city, not a budget hotel but worth it.
Pros:

This is a true 5* hotel, from the moment you abandon your car outside the hotel to the moment the valet returns it to you.
The staff are attentive though not intrusive, the rooms are palatial, spotless and comfortable. I did struggle with the bathrobe, it was so luxurious and heavy I could barely lift it off the hangar.

Cons:

There was no clear signage to show where to leave the car while you check in so we decided to just abandon the car outside the front door vaguely off the road. Apparently this was totally ok.
