Gem of a hotel outside the city
Pros:

Our overall stay was fantastic, so good in fact that when our flight was cancelled, we travelled back to Bologna to stay another night. I really enjoyed the selection at breakfast and pool was never too busy. You can get the bus from round the corner into the city which was really handy

Hôtel magnifique. Parking très appréciable. Restauration exceptionnelle.

Cons:

Produits de bain, dommage de ne pas mettre des distributeurs plus écologique. Il n'y avait de serviettes de bain que pour une personne alors que nous étions 2.

Heerlijk. Vooral ook dat je koffie kon bestellen aan de bar tijdens ontbijt. Fijn om buiten te kunnen ontbijten. Zwembad

Niets. Beetje flauw om gasten 3 euro te laten betalen voor een badlaken bij het zwembad.

Good hotel with terrible breakfast
Pros:

Rating Savoia Regency is really difficult, because it was a beautiful Hotel. It was clean, the room was very good and large, the facilities good, the (ice cold) pool and public spaces were pretty and well-kept. BUT.

Cons:

I would not return, because the breakfast was terrible. I understand cake for breakfast is a thing in Italy, but so are cold cuts, cheeses and fish - which were absent. If you go for sugar first thing in the day, the choice was okay. But if you eat only savory, the choice was limited and there was zero variety in our four-day-stay: two hams, 1 cheese, Mozzarella, 2 types of buns, toast, boiled egg (impossible to peel) and scrambled egg. Of course I did not step into the kitchen, but it is my suspicion that they used industrial prepackaged egg-mix for that, which does not taste or feel the same. While the rest of the hotel was really, really good, this breakfast ruined every single morning and made us really upset.
The location is good if you have your own transportation, but going into town by bus (which we did couple of times) is a sad experience because one drives through all the run-down areas and it takes forever.
