Don Gregory By Dunas in San Augustin.
Firstly the negatives…. None that I could find.
Positives, amazing bedrooms with the finest sea views .
Bedrooms were clean and maids came every day. Cleaners started very early, cleaning the pool area, waiting areas and then moving to the bedrooms. Its apparent this hotel
takes hygiene importantly.
The food was varied and wide ranging with a themed night, Mexican, Italian etc. The waiters quick to serve and helpful . Particular praise to the chefs at the live cooking station who where eager to please, the chef at the egg cooking station in the mornings and the ones
cooking the meats in the evening.
If hiring a car, it is advisable to book a car parking space at the hotel which is roughly 10/12 euros a day. Parking around the area is hard to find and I believe the shopping centre opposite charges in the region of 20 euros a day .
We were catching a late fight and the hotel were unable to accommodate our request for a late checkout. However they offered a room with a shower for one hour which was free and very helpful.
The location is perfect, direct access to the beach with a long promenade whereby you can walk to Maspolomas if you wanted. We walked to Playa Ingles each night which took about 1 hour(there and back). The beach is immaculate.
Recommendations for the hotel.. petty but when the waiters serve coffee in the mornings, they give a large coffee flask with another the same size with milk. We only used 20% and each day kept leaving 80% of milk unused/wasted. Would be better to serve milk in much smaller jugs to prevent wastage.
Would we stay here again….absolutley yes!!

Wir haben eine Woche im Hotel verbracht und uns beim Ausblick aus dem 9. Stock und dem ständigen Geräusch der Wellen in den Ohren sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Flasche Sekt als Willkommensgeschenk war eine nette Überraschung. Das Zimmer selbst war groß (genug Stauraum), hell und sauber (es hat mehrmals täglich jemand nach dem Rechten gesehen). Wir hatten Halbpension – das Frühstück und Abendessen waren ausgezeichnet und wir hatten immer einen Tisch auf der Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich und bemüht. Liegen in der ersten Reihe waren leider kaum zu bekommen, da diese trotz Hinweisen seitens des Hotels immer schon sehr früh besetzt waren. Aber es hat uns nicht wirklich gestört, da wir ohnehin lieber auf dem direkt vor dem Hotel gelegenen Stand waren (gehört jedoch nicht zum Hotel aber zwei Liegen + Schirm für EUR 9 waren es uns wert 😊). Wir würden gerne irgendwann wieder kommen!

Personale super gentile e struttura ben tenuta. Ottima cucina e vicinanza all'oceano. Camera con vista molto grande e pulita

L’emplacement avec accès direct à la plage.
La piscine superbe et très propre.
Les transats avec vue sur l’océan.
Les repas excellents avec beaucoup de choix.
Le personnel du restaurant très sympathique et agréable.
La chambre de très belle taille avec un balcon vue sur l’océan.

Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Zimmer (hatten 6 DZ, jeweils zur Einzelnutzung) sehr geräumig, mit Meerblick, Balkon, große Dusche. Frühstücks-, Mittags- und Abendbüffet sehr reichhaltig und für jeden etwas dabei. Mit 6 Freunden ( alle über 60 Jahre alt😉) haben wir kein Mittagsbüffet eingenommen, sondern uns die sehr leckeren Snacks (besonders empfehlenswert Gambas und Lachs) gegönnt. Lage zentral und alles fußläufig erreichbar (täglich bis 10 km zu Fuß zurückgelegt.
