No lift but staff helped me every week with my luggage. They were fab.

One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had!!!!
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a gentleman at reception who explained how my stay would proceed. I specifically asked whether I had been allocated a quiet room, as I am currently experiencing a miscarriage and have recently left an abusive ex-fiancé. He reassured me that I had been placed on a quiet floor and that my comfort would be considered!
However, this was not my experience. I was assigned a room which required a considerable walk to reach. While I understand that the building is older and may not have certain facilities, I found the room itself to be extremely small. Considering the price I paid, I genuinely believe I could have received better value and accommodation elsewhere.
The cleanliness and condition of the room were also unacceptable. I discovered what appeared to be private hairs on the bed upon arrival. In addition, the bathroom cupboard door fell off, and several towels appeared to have red stains on them that resembled old blood. This raised serious concerns regarding hygiene and maintenance standards.
The most disappointing aspect of my stay was the excessive noise throughout the night. Despite being assured I was on a quiet floor, I was subjected to constant banging doors, shouting, and screaming. To make matters worse, I was woken at approximately 3:00 a.m. by a couple in the room next door engaging in very loud sexual activity. As a result, I had virtually no sleep at all!!!
I also found the service from the staff downstairs to be poor and unhelpful. Overall, the condition of the room, the lack of cleanliness, the excessive noise, and the disappointing customer service made my stay extremely unpleasant.
I could not wait to leave and feel that the experience fell far below the standard that should be expected from a paying guest. I would have had better sleep outside

No toiletries, then I had to ask, it was too late then. green light in the room, alarm, and it's hard to fall asleep. The room was cold, and there was no blanket in the room or the wardrobe. No lift. Music playing loudly through the hotel speakers in the corridor and room 7 am in the morning. pillows too hard.

Restaurant food was great as was the service.
The staff were lovely and very helpful except for the bar manager who clearly was not happy in his job as he did not smile once and was quite surly!
The shower did not work as it would not switch from the bath taps. The bedside lights were for decorative purposes only which was annoying
