Loved our stay at Westover Inn. If we're in the area we will for sure come again.
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful quiet location. Excellent food. Close to Stratford and provided a very nice get away. Just wished we had more time for a full course dinner but we needed to get to a play in Stratford. We have recommended this establishment to all the friends and relatives we met on our 2 week vacation and I'm sure we will continue to. Thank you, Westover!

Cons:

Disappointed that a breakfast is not offered. We would have loved to had one there rather than going elsewhere. Maybe because they want guests to check out on time? Seemed a shame to dash away and not enjoy the surroundings even more but we just couldn't wait until 11:30am when the restaurant opened.

I can imagine some guests would complain about the creaky floors when guests overhead were walking around. We live in a 1903 home and are quite comfortable with these types of noises especially because they did not go on all night. One guest coming into the Cottage, not the main building, mentioned the lower suites smelled mouldy but as we were on the main floor everything was fine.

Very Inviting on the outside but attention to comfort inside the room was lacking.
Pros:

The grounds were lovely. The Inn needs some wear and tear paint repairs outside but overall the lobby and dinning area looked nice.

Cons:

The bathroom fan made weird noises as well as the A/C which could be endured but the mattress was horrible. It made so much noise sitting on it let alone turning during sleep. Not very comfortable either.

The staff was wonderful and very helpful with our issue.
Pros:

Great location with 2 separate buildings available for lodging. We had an issue with a small water leak from the ceiling fan in the bathroom. It was over the toilet. We reported it and the staff moved us into an upgraded room with no cost increase.

Cons:

There are some exterior maintenance issues that could be addressed to spruce up the property.

Luscious location. Quiet Serene. I would return.

Cons:

More lighting on driveway for late night entries.Hard to know where to go. Doors swelled with humidity. Might need sanding. Room ac noisy. A suddsier soap. Water is very hard

It was an historic Inn. Reception was very nice and helpful.

Cons:

It could have been more comfortable. Lumpy pillows, uncomfortable mattress. Pool was a bit dated. Not value for money.

A hidden treasure in South West Ontario!
Pros:

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens, and is on the shore of the Thames River in a historic part of St. Mary's, within one kilometer of St Mary's quarry (perfect for swimming) and the Canadian Baseball Museum and Hall of Fame.

My room was in their annex, and was well-appointed and exceedingly clean. On entry I switched off the AC and opened the windows. My room was facing a forest, and it was completely quiet, with only bird songs waking me up in the morning.

I will return!

Excellent meal, but expensive

Cons:

The shower worked very poorly, tub was spongy, the website never showed that our room had a fridge, so I never brought cream for our coffee. I need my coffee lol and the bathroom door lock doesn't work. So was disappointed I those things . Also the water tasted really off. Probably the ice maker needs cleaned ?
But great, friendly and helpful staff and it was clean !!

Beautiful setting, comfortable and quiet.
Pros:

Loved the setting. The quiet. The grounds are lovely to explore.
We booked two rooms for our family. The room with double beds was spacious with a lovely view from the window.

Cons:

The room with the queen bed was smallish considering our two bags. I think ads/bookings should mention that you have to carry/drag bags up a flight of stairs.
