De retour après un séjour il y a 15 ans, nous étions déçus.
Pros:

L'ambiance, les salons, l'emplacement

Cons:

Nous y étions en période de grosse chaleur. La climatisation de notre chambre située au 3ème étage tournait bruyamment sans fabriquer aucun froid. Les équipements sanitaires sont vétustes, et mériteraient une rénovation.

Great location, really pleasant hotel but a few issues need to be resolved (water pressure etc).
Pros:

Brilliant location and great to be in an independent, historic hotel, with its own charm. I’ve been looking for a go-to hotel in Marylebone. This may be it.

Cons:

The water pressure in the shower was dreadful and the sink didn’t drain properly. I heard others struggled with water pressure too.

Enjoyable
Pros:

In general I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel because the staff were friendly, The atmosphere was charming, My room was nice and the service was great however my room didn’t have air-conditioning and I wasn’t aware of this prior to booking. This may not have been a problem normally however on the night I stayed it was an extremely warm night and I was uncomfortably hot because of the lack of air-conditioning.

A comfortable, very traditional hotel - would stay again
Pros:

The hotel is very characterful and an interesting place to stay while in London. We have stayed here before so we know what to expect - staff are super helpful and the room was very nicely furnished and comfortable.

Cons:

Given that the hotel is old and the corridors are like a warren, it was irritating that the main lift wasn't working. Also we didn't have breakfast as it seems overpriced.

No air conditioning, no mention before paying the room

Otherwise, I would have left the hotel.

Cons:

I came for one night only for business purpose. Arrived late, 22:00pm straight to sleep.
30 degrees outside. I am asked to pay the room, which I do. I arrive in the room. My watch shows 33 degrees..... I have called immediately the reception to understand the situation "oh yes sorry but the air conditioning doesn't work". How can you do that? How can you ask to pay to the client without noticing this? How could you give a room to a client who pays 350gbp for max 8 hours, make him pay without a word about it (direction asking for sure), and then give SUCH A ROOM!
I am still confused.

Thanks to Anna, we left the 3rd floor for a bigger room on the second. 28 degrees (better....).
She offered cold water, and made sure my breakfast would be offered. Also offered a Dyson.

Thanks again Anna.

But the night offered would have been a minimum to avoid my honest feedback.
