Locanda old style magnifica . Ottima posizione , parcheggio interno . Raggiungi tutto a piedi. Gentilissimi i proprietari. Letto comodo , stanza pulitissima , bagno grande e funzionale . Molto buono il caffè la mattina, e la colazione. Davvero perfetta!

We absolutely love the Marshall Slocum Inn. We were in Newport for 1 night and stayed in the cottage. It was comfortable and quiet and perfect for what we needed. Everyone could not have been nicer and the entire experience was simply a delight. If we find ourselves in Newport again, we would absolutely return to the Marshall Slocum. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The inn was located on a quiet street that was walkable to the waterfront and other adventures. It was a VERY easy check in and out process. The staff was very knowledgeable about what was close by and in our room they had a list of recommended places including atmosphere and how casual or fancy the recommendation was. They had a candy bar in the main area which was awesome. The room was a great size, bathroom beautiful and very clean!

The Marshall Slocum Inn is a beautiful historic property a short walk away from the Newport harbor area. The neighborhood is quiet and restful and the Inn is immaculately kept. Our room was beautiful but the best part was the luxurious bed and pillows and comfortable super clean room. Our host made some lovely breads for breakfast along with coffee and juices. We would definitely return.

A great place to stay. Room was very comfortable and host was very knowledgeable about the local area and points of interest. Breakfast was pastries, fruit and yoghurts which were very tasty. There was an ‘honesty fridge’ with soft drinks, wine and beer which was great to enjoy a drink on the patio after a day in Newport. Free parking was a great bonus.

Friendly and helpful staff with lots of local knowledge. Quality breakfast with a range of pastries, yoghurt, fruit and hot and cold beverages. Cold drinks and alcoholic drinks available from an honesty fridge which was great to be able to enjoy a drink on the patio after a day exploring Newport. Easy walk into Newport. Comfortable bed with lovely toiletries and tea making facilities.

An absolutely beautiful place to stay, Quiet location and room. Perfectly clean and comfortable room. Breakfast on the back deck was very pleasant. A light continental breakfast with several choices and very good coffee was a great way to start the day. The Inn is within walking distance of downtown Newport in a neighborhood of similar beautiful homes. The staff was very accommodating and provided some excellent suggestions about the area.

The memory foam beds were wonderful. All of us reported sleeping well in comfort. The pillows worked. The place is pretty- try the porch swing in front. The two men who were inn keepers there could not have been nicer nor more obliging. The breakfast is minimal with coffee and tea and pastries and sugary yogurt. I would stay there again.

Very clean. Beautiful old house. Good position

We love our stay during 4th of July. The location is perfect to walk around the town. We do not need a car. The room is cute and clean. There's no TV in the room which I do not mind at all and remind me of typical bed and breakfast. No noise issues. The staffs are polite and friendly. We will stay here again if we come back to Newport.
