We arrived home today after a 3 night stay at the hotel. On arrival the hotel is lovely, smells lovely in the main lobby area and really clean. We stayed in room 309 which was a great location and clean, a little more attention could have been paid as the dresser was caked in dust when we arrived, this however could be as the sliding door was wide open on our arrival. Would have been better to have areived to a nice cool room but thats a minor moan! Super comfortable bed so had great sleep all nights, spacious, great shower, lovely view. My only complaint is the tv...no idea what was going on but hardly any English channels and channels would disappear. 1 day we had 20 the next we had 65. The channels never stayed on the same numbers etc so was a bit of a nightmare as the guide didnt work so had to go through 1 at a time! We had quite a lot of disruption of noise and being wokrn from cleaners on the floor above scraping the chairs across the tiled floors! Not ideal.
Pool area is lovely. Water temperature is wonderful and the bubble pool is a nice little addition but on a timers cant be controlled by guests. There was always some kind of activity going on round the pool which looked fun. You will struggle for beds round the pool as people start from as early as 7.30am then dont lie on them all day. This has been mentioned MULTIPLE times throughout the review and is beyond me why this isnt controlled! If towels are there for a certain amount of time they should be removed. Its the only way to ensure fairness across all guests. You will likely be able to pitch a bed on the terrace but it you want to be right round the pool are if recommend setting an early alarm! Id also recommend getting a bed on the hotel side of the pool if your a sun worshipper as the rest goes into the shade rather early due to the high buildings.
Snack bar food was ok, nothing amazing, my husband is a veggie and they only had a maximum of 2 mini veggie pizzas to offer per day. These are child size pizzas and if more than 1 veggie is on site your screwed! Aside from that there are burgers, hot dogs, kebab and chips. Non of it really to my liking but a lot of people were eating.
Entertainment was good, always something on to cover off all age ranges at the hotel. The animation team work hard as do the bar staff, however the drinks...i have to say are awful (personal opinion) i tried copious amounts of alcoholic options and nothing say well at all! Too shelf is available at an additional price but as an all inclusive customer id have expected top shelf. My husband booked this and I wasn't aware it wasn't included...we did notice ok our leaving there is a little room downstairs when you can get top shel if your a silver band holder but we had no idea about this option!
We didnt go in the spa so really cant comment but from the entrance it looked lovely.
Breakfast was lovely.... everything from poached scrambled and fried eggs. Proper english sausage, fruits, pastries etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts. We didnt visit for lunch/evening meals.
All in all its a nice hotel. 1st time ive been tp benidorm in over 20yrs. I think the place itself just is not to my taste but if your going and wanting an adult only hotel that isnt really rowdy id recommend hear. If I ever did go back to benidorm I would stay hear.
Absolutely amazing holiday, hotel can not fault, staff so friendly, meals a great selection and lovely, hotel very clean. Entertainment staff absolutely super, big shout out to judith.
Thank you we will be back x
Great location, all staff are excellent and a brilliant room. Will be coming again for our 7th visit
I can’t fault the hotel or staff it really is excellent for the price (jet2). We upgraded to the select package and it’s definitely worth it.
Rooms - Having read the reviews we asked for a high floor room, and glad that we did. Lovely sea view. Big, clean rooms and bathrooms. The cleaning staff do an excellent job.
Food - Excellent 4* food with so much choice. The pool snack bar makes a nice change from buffet 3 meals a day.
Drinks - sometimes a queue but the Club Select means you have a private bar and lounge to get your own drinks which we really liked as there is a different selection in there.
Pool - Yes the usual queue for sun loungers at 8.40am. The lifeguard is strict. No balls or floats in the pool.
The only thing to let this hotel down is some of the English clientele who think it’s ok to blatantly ignore the rules. Some also need to keep a lid on the alcohol! Not the hotels fault!
Fab hotel in a great spot in the middle between the New town and the Old town so beat of both … could not fault anything 🌞🌞… the usual fight with the towels in the morning around the pool but there is a spacious area away from the pool with plenty of sun beds too…
Excelente
No tengo ninguna queja
The Hotel was fantastic and also the food and staff
The cleaning staff were fantastic our room was cleaned every day and beds made.
The bar staff were fantastic and the catering staff were there always when you needed some thing.
There is only two points i would like to rec recommend:
Please change the pillows to normal then a sausage pillow and sort the WiFi out.
The Entertainment staff were very good always jolly and made you welcome in the day and night entertainment.
Jet2 have picked a fantastic Hotel.
It was okay but didn't found food to great but lovely rooms and comfortable beds bit upset as sun didn't get round pool to early afternoon sit situated lovely in between old town and the strip wouldn't go back
Lots to share , so I’ll start right now 😄some good and some bad.
Pool area unclean during day, life guard clearing cups but needs regular staff circling, not the life guard.
Around the pool area , no food is permitted, and boy does the lifeguard tell you, alongside coffee cups, and no ball games in the pool.
Be ready for a dash at 8.45am with the saddos who have to have a pool side lounger but then don’t turn up for hours,
( this needs to be addressed, hotel should remove towels after 2 hrs If no one turns up )
All rushing for poolside but the terrace area was better and spacious.
It does make good viewing in a morning from your balcony watching people run.
Get use to pigeons. They love the pool area and found them aggressive 😂
Found a nail with red nail polish in between my bed sheets.
Apart from this I can’t fault the maid, bed made every day and fresh towels.
Safe is €3 a day, deposit for pool towels €10 which you get back upon return.
Showers in the room weren’t great.
It’s adults only but you forget until you have the younger generation shouting and playing loud music in their rooms ( walls thin)
In the evening the boys on the bar work hard but look like they enjoy their jobs which is nice to see and the manager gets stuck in which is also nice to see.
Food in the restaurant,
Lots of variety but a lot of it over cooked ( like breakfast time and black pudding, I wouldn’t have been able to get my teeth through it)
When we arrived we received a voucher to go to sister hotel for an Indian,
Staff really nice but Indian lacked flavour.
Snack bar is really good , chips / kebabs/ pizza & burgers.
Entertainment,
They work very hard, some of the shows like singers over and over that can’t sing was a little repetitive.
All in all it’s a nice hotel, I wouldn’t return, I didn’t relax into adults only as I usually do, just for either being woken up early by girls shouting and singing , couples arguing , neither of which are the hotels fault but as I said , I didn’t relax and looked forward to my own bed at home.
Very good location. Staff were very friendly and nice.
More food variety at dinner with themed nights perhaps. They did this one of the nights but wasn’t great.
We had a fantastic week at the Sandos Monaco. From check in to check out everything was excellent. Clean, comfy accommodation, friendly staff, lovely food and drinks, great daytime entertainment. Cold air con was welcome during the heatwave. We were there for the World Cup final which was an amazing experience.
Review based on an 8 night stay in July.
Room - we were on the 13th floor with a pool view. Our room was spacious with a huge bathroom, everything you would expect fridge, safe, toiletries etc. the view was amazing we could see the mountains and peacock island and everything in between, nice and quiet too.
One problem with the bed was the reading light(see photo) it encroached over the bed so you had to be careful not to hit your head on it and it was far too bright so I couldn’t use it. A/C was more than adequate even on the lowest setting.
Staff - They couldn’t do enough for you, always working and happy. Felt a bit sorry for Narnia having to work 10 days straight with double shifts thrown in. Had an issue with our cleaner, before breakfast we dropped some coins on the floor in our room by mistake so thinking we would pick them up when we returned after breakfast the maid had been in and tidied up taking the coins with her, at other hotels when this had happened anything the maid found was put on the side table for us. Just keep valuables out of sight.
Reception staff were always helpful . Entertainment was good day and night.
Food - Breakfast was horrible, either the food was undercooked or cremated. Cheap catering sausages, Spanish bacon was like glass and everything was dry and over cooked, I missed most mornings and waited till the kitchen was open by the pool, they had burgers, hotdogs, chips, fruit and kebabs all freshly made and delicious. Lunch was ok as was dinner but nothing special, one night I had duck and chips because there was nothing else I liked and I’m not a fussy eater but I didn’t fancy mashed potato and cauliflower cheese when it’s 30 degrees, even the churros was soft and undercooked. I liked that when you sat down a staff member would ask if you want a drink with your meal. It wasn’t always bad but I preferred to eat out in the evenings.
Location - Perfect. 10 mins to everywhere, beach, Old town, the strip. you name it and you’re there. Lovely and quiet too.
Few things that need improvement. The pool was like bath water, even though it’s in the shade till the early afternoon it wasn’t refreshing.
You can’t get water after midnight, there’s a vending machine but no water fountain, as it’s all inclusive why do I have to pay again?
People leaving towels on sun-loungers from 9am and not returning until 2pm, this is extremely selfish and unfair for other guests.
The World Cup was shown in the downstairs entertainment room but there was no A/C or bar so we were all boiling hot and had to go upstairs if we wanted a drink, also the staff started to collect glasses during the game so kept getting in the way.
All in all a nice break and had a great time.
What can I say - another excellent stay. We have been coming here for several years now and it never disappoints. Staff attentive, food excellent (especially given the volume of guests) and rooms cleaned daily - thanks to Pilar on our floor. I am looking forward to our next visit!
We found the hotel in perfect condition with a great team of friendly staff keeping it sparking clean at all times. Really great pool and large enough sunbathing area that was never full.
The food was really good with lots of variety with different freshly cooked items at every meal. There was a dedicated area for vegetarian food with about three different dishes each day although if you are vegan there was very little choice from salad, pasta and fruit but I expect if you asked in advance they could offer something more. By the pool each day there were very nice freshly grilled Kebabs and Burgers. If you want to take back good food memories avoid the complimentary Indian meal at Sandos Suites. Yes, the restaurant and staff are absolutely amazing the food though is of a very poor level - basically Chicken, Lamb or Veg stew far below the standard at Sandos Monaco or indeed anywhere in Benidorm (if you do fancy an Indian ask Nicky for recommendations).
All inclusive drink selection was very good and included a wide range of freshly made cocktails although sadly they did for 3 days run out of the ingredients to make Mojitos when we were there.
The staff are amazing – everyone is so friendly and helpful. The energy from the entertainment team is both infectious and exhausting, especially Judiths Aqua aerobics! Amanda front of house was so helpful and knowledgeable as was Nicky who if you want somewhere to eat or something to do she knows everywhere to go based on years of experiences and lots of guest feedback.
Location is perfect – not adjacent to any bars so very quiet in the day and evening and when you want the lively bars and entertainment, they are only a few mins walk away. The main long sandy beach is also only a few mins away. If you want to walk around the area it is generally flat with longer walks in either direction along the coast to the old town or Cala Tio Chimo.
The Silver Select Lounge could have done with more frequent refreshes, particularly the Red Wine but again if you asked someone they were straight on it.
Overall an exceptional stay and somewhere we will definitely be returning too.
Our second stay here. Just love it here ,staff so friendly and helpful. Food is great lots of choice something for everyone. Room was spotless, cleaned every day ( thank you (Rosita) . 5 minute walk to the beach. Half way between old and new towns.
The complimentary Indian meal at the sister Sandos Suites is not to be missed.
We had a fantastic week and will book for next year.
Very helpful friendly staff. No queuing for food or drink
The rooms were a little dated
Location really good close to beach and strip, food okay not the best. Air con in the rooms is weak at best and turns off when you open balcony doors which is annoying
In the late morning, the cleaners drag the beds around on floors above and all you can hear is beds dragging on floor its very annoying
Bit of a queue at the bar a lot
The room was clean and cleaners made it nice coming in throughout our stay
Vibes were generally good and staff nice
Overall wouldnt stay again as cleaners noise dragging beds around too much, and the food was average at best
We stayed here on a short 4 night break in mid July. Centrally located in between Old Town and Strip. Food was of a good standard and nicely presented .Main pool doesn't get any sun until after midday so we couldn't understand why so many people seemed to try and get a bed around the pool. We thought the sun terrace was much better and had sun all day long from the off. 2 mins walk to pool if you wanted to cool off. The pool was a nice temperature. The jacuzzi wasn't always switched on for some reason. Friendly staff and good service always. We would stay here again for sure.
I love this hotel very clean and friendly food i very nice (well i think so ) staff are lovely very helpful near to old town and beach 5 mins away new town about 15 minutes walk
